 Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...

I had blackened redfish with jalapeño grits- yum! Look who I got to hang with on Saturday! He had to come check out the new park and splash pad!  Happy Wednesday! A few weeks ago, I started a new job working at a school. My mornings have been early and quick lately instead of slow....So, I documented my Monday morning to share with you all! Still always start with coffee! Plus a very basic skin care routine.  On Monday, I went super simple with "makeup",  if you can even call it that. OOTD and ready to head out! I filled up my water and packed my lunch. I usually drink an Alani on the way! Not as fun or interesting as I thought it would be, but I like to see this kind of stuff from others so maybe you do too! Have a great day!

 Hello Monday!! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share about mine. Friday night dinner was at one of our favorite local places- Bulldog Burger! When you get the "Bulldog", the bun comes stamped like this! How cute? If you ever go, you must try the sweet potato fries and caramel sauce OR the truffle fries and cheese sauce. Both are delish! Saturday morning coffee and cottage cheese toast! (Also I just realized this weekend that my placemats match Taylor's new album colors!! Am I an easter egg?? Ha!) Saturday afternoon popcorn and a La Croix in my Anthro Wicked cup! I got the Glinda one too - so cute! I look like I'm ready to watch Wicked, but we were just watching golf. 😂 Saturday night, Caleb and his brother went to see a comedian, so I was home alone! I ate the rest of my burger and fries from Friday night, watched 27 Dresses, drank some rosé, ate a couple of Reese's, watched Abbott Elementary....perfect solo nig...

 Happy Wednesday!! I figured today was a good day to share three random things! 1. First up, DUH. I am soooo excited!! Just a few funnies that I have seen about this album announcement. And yep, I'll be watching New Heights today! 2. So, I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I started a new job. Well, I am working in a school- both in a Kindergarten classroom and in middle school. There is a student in that mix that speaks zero English. Sooooo, I have been brushing up on my Spanish. It honestly makes me sad that I have basically lost it all. I had two years of Spanish in high school, and I can barely remember common words and phrases. 3. I am almost in full fall mode over here....fall nail color #2 has officially been painted.  Happy Monday, friends! I am back after going MIA last week! I had some late nights and put this blog on the back burner..... I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share about my weekend! Friday evening, I snapped this picture. This is where I threw my shoes off after work every day. 😂 Saturday, Caleb's parents came to town and we had lunch at The Camphouse, which was really good! I had a patty melt on rye bread. After they left, Caleb and I went and ran some errands. We saw that the hot sign was on at Krispy Kreme....sadly these donuts were not hot at all. Still yummy though! I painted my nails. I am so ready for fall, so I chose a favorite- Taupeless Beach by OPI.  Sunday morning coffee and leftover donuts! And then I went to run some errands and Caleb played golf.
