Friday Favorites {3.29.24}

Happy GOOD Friday to you all! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some faves from the week! Easter is my very favorite! This is one of the most powerful sentences I've ever read. I get chills when I read this! Thank you JESUS for The Cross! For some makeup faves... I got this new foundation, and I really like it! Plus, it smells good- I'm assuming it's the Olay in it.  Another Covergirl fave! This smells so good, and it so pretty! Perfect for no makeup days or very light makeup days. This color is sugar poppy. It's also clean, vegan, and gluten free. Ok, super short and sweet today. Have a happy Easter weekend!

Hello Monday {3.25.24}

  Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We had a busy but fun time in Madison this weekend. I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah to share all about it! Friday morning I had my yearly doctor visit, and afterwards I did some school work while I waited on.... Reid Man!! It had been way too long since I saw him last. He's the sweetest! He picked flowers for me, Mimi, and Libbey. For lunch, me, Lib, and Reid went to Mexican for some chips, salsa, and bean dip! Reid decided he wanted a tshirt on. Caleb and I got this one for him in Grand Turk, and he insisted on having it on backwards 😂. He's been enjoying playing with my old baby dolls! Sometimes he throws them around, but he is sweet with them every now and then 😂. We snuggled and watched Minions before dinner. I got no pictures on Saturday, but I took a few hours to myself and went to Homegoods and Michaels! Palm Sunday service! Sunday School donuts!! Yum! Lunch at our fave! Beagle Bagel! I always get a tuna melt on a sourdough

Friday Favorites {3.22.24}

  Finally Friday!! I've got a fun weekend ahead, but first I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some faves from the week! My Mimi found these place mats at an estate sale last weekend, and she got them for me! She said the lady hosting the sale told her they are vintage and probably from the 60s or 70s. I thought they were so pretty on my table for spring! I saw these at Kroger and grabbed a couple to have for a quick breakfast. This one was really good. I also got a double chocolate but haven't tried it yet. I mixed mine with milk for a little extra protein! Are you washing your laundry with baking soda?? I've been adding about 1/4 cup to a load, in addition to my regular detergent, and I swear it makes our clothes and towels smell much more fresh!  Remember this fire pit we bought last summer?? Well, we finally used it Wednesday night, and it was soooo nice! Last but not least..... New Testament time!! It's taking me longer than a year to read through the

Gratitude.

 Good morning, friends! Today I want to talk a little bit about gratitude. Specifically- gratitude in the mundane.  If you recall, my three words for 2024 are freedom, growth, and abundance. So, I have been trying really hard to focus on these words and how I am going to apply them in my life. I have decided that growth is a great place to start. With growth, I believe freedom and abundance will follow. I want to grow in my faith, my marriage, and in my home. One thing I am doing to make this growth is finding joy in the little things and being grateful for the most simple and mundane tasks. For me, those tasks are laundry, cooking, cleaning, working out, doing school work, and getting dressed and ready for the day. These are pretty much my daily tasks. There are for sure days when I am overly busy with school and really cannot complete most of these tasks. But, for the most part, this is my day. It is very easy for me to complain about doing these things, and then I end up just not do

Let's Look....Again

Happy Wednesday, friends! I totally missed that the Let's Look link party would be hosted today instead of last Wednesday, so here's the link to that post if you haven't seen it!   Have a happy day!!

Egg Roll in a Bowl

  Happy Tuesday!! It's been a while since I've shared a recipe, and this one has been on repeat for me week after week. So, I decided it needed a permanent place on my blog. I've followed other recipes, I've tweaked things here and here, and I have finally found my perfect recipe for.... EGG ROLL IN A BOWL!!  It may not look the most appetizing, but it's really so good! Here's my super simple recipe. Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey 1 tsp grated fresh ginger 2 cups of tri-color coleslaw mix 2 tbsp soy sauce Salt and pepper to taste Directions: 1. Brown your turkey, then add in ginger, salt and pepper, and soy sauce. 2. Toss in coleslaw mix and let it wilt a bit before serving. 3. I eat mine with either a little bit of spicy mayo (mayo+sriracha), or with a sweet and sour chili sauce- sometimes both! This recipe is SO simple, quick, one pot, low carb.......it's the best for a busy night or a night when you don't feel like cooking. If I want to make this a r

Hello Monday {3.18.24}

  Hello Monday!! I'm officially back to school and spring break is over. It was so nice to have a break from all of my assignments! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share all about our weekend. Friday morning, I read my bible and watched the rain! Have I mentioned that I loooove watching the rain?? Well......this was basically the rest of my Friday. I did have an assignment to work on, but aside from that I watched this all day! When Caleb got home from work, we were starving but didn't want to go sit down anywhere. We landed on Slim Chickens! I got my tenders tossed in mango habanero and dipped them in ranch- SO good!! I usually do the garlic parm, but I wanted something spicy this time. Saturday morning, I read my bible while Caleb went to check on one of his job sites. Once he got back, I got ready so we could go grab some things for dinner. One of my favorite outfits to wear when I don't really know what to wear is this: tshirt, leggings or jeans, barefo
