Hello Monday {2.17.26}

 Hello TUESDAY! I had the day off yesterday, so I decided to take the day off from the blog as well. Here's what we were up to this past weekend... Friday was such a sweet day with lots of candy and flowers from sweet students! We had Mexican for dinner, so that of course made the day even better! Saturday morning views..... Flowers, chocolate, coffee, chicken minis. Just a few of my favorite things 😌. We went to Ulta, Kroger, and Walmart. We grabbed a few things for the week, and I grabbed some beauty products I was in need of/wanted to try. I needed new blush and moisturizer. I have seen great things about this face mask, and I was super excited to try the new OPI'm a Bubble Bunny.... So pretty! Then it was time for my very favorite holiday tradition.... Pizza on the fine china, wine, watching Valentine's Day, and chocolate for dessert.  Sunday was dreary- my favorite kind of weather. Perfect for staying in and doing nothing. I watched a couple of movies and ate leftover...

Monthly Musings: February 2025

 Happy Thursday, friends! I'm here to link up with Holly and Patty for Monthly Musings!! Each month has a festive theme, we answer some questions, and link back to Holly and Patty! For the month of LOVE, we are talking about..... How we show LOVE.   1. What is your love language?  Ok, I took a quiz to find out, because I really wasn't sure. Well, apparently my primary love language is quality time. I would say that's pretty accurate! And not just with Caleb, but with family too! 2. Favorite love songs? Well, wouldn't you know...anything Taylor Swift 😂. Some favorites include Enchanted, Lover, So High School. 3. Flowers, chocolate, or something else? Flowers and chocolate were all I told Caleb I wanted this year! We never do anything big for Valentine's, so I think that's perfect. These roses were from Trader Joe's a couple years ago. Aren't they so pretty?? 4. Favorite romantic/romcom movie? I love Valentine's Day (especially on the day!) and many...

Valentine's Outfits

 We are very slowly approaching Valentine's Day (will January ever end??), but I've got some outfits to share today that will be perfect for the holiday! Ok, before I share any outfits....are you a one day only celebrator or do you celebrate for weeks?? Once our Christmas decor is down, we're putting out all the Valentine's things! I'm also wearing all the cute and festive clothes too! I grabbed this shirt when I was in Dallas earlier this month, and I think it is so cute for Valentine's! The colors are perfect, and the ruffles just make it so cute! Caslon is one of my favorite brands at Nordstrom- and for good reason! They always have the cutest casual wear. This tshirt is adorable! I love this one too! The hearts are just so sweet. Dress the Population is another great brand at Nordstrom! This dress in the red or any of the pink shades would be so pretty for a nice dinner out. I think it's very classic and elegant! Ok, I had no idea Charming Charlie was...

Valentine's Decor 2025

 Happy Tuesday, friends! Today I am sharing our Valentine's Day Decor for 2025 with you. It's all very simple, not really at all like our Christmas decor. It feels very clean, but still cozy in here! Pretty much everything is from years past.  Very simple on our banister! I grabbed that ribbon at Marshalls, and I love the very simple pale pink. I also added a ribbon here. I love just the subtle touches everywhere. Pink is my favorite color, and having pops of it around just makes me happy! The heart shaped spoon rest is from Homegoods this year. Have a great day!

Valentine's Day 2024

 Happy Thursday! How was your Valentine's Day? No matter how you celebrated, I hope you know just how loved you are! Here was our Valentine's Day! This was our ninth one together! Here's my subtle yet festive ootd! Gresham stack of the day!  This was our third year of our Papa John's tradition. We like to avoid the crowds on the actual day, so we're going out to eat on Saturday at one of our favorite places! Also, Caleb was either working late or had class the past two years, so the easiest thing to do was grab takeout. Papa John's just happened to be our pick!  Pizza on the fine china, duh! Way over most of my macros for the day, but it's just one day!! Life is toooo short to worry about one night. And then we had chocolate chip cookies for dessert! Yummmmm..... The best part about not going out? In bed by 7pm to watch Desperate Housewives. We are old people 😂. Have a great day!!
