July 2023 Book Review

  It's BOOK REVIEW DAY! I have to say, I think 2-3 books a month is becoming my sweet spot. And I'm trying to be ok with that. I set big goals for myself to read at least 4 books a month, but it just does not happen.  With that being said, I read two books this month that I absolutely loved and highly recommend!  Happy Place by Emily Henry I loooved this book. It was incredibly sweet and sad at the same time but with a great ending. I feel like everything was wrapped up nicely. It is of course, very predictable but also not predictable at all- if you can imagine😂. This is the first novel I've read by Emily Henry, and I'm happy to say I will be reading more from her in the future! It was a great summer read! Not too light, not too heavy. I read it in two days, because I seriously couldn't put it down! It was such a sweet story surrounding a group of six friends and how much their lives have changed over the years. It details that no matter what, your true friends w

Friday Favorites {7.21.23}

 Happy Friday, Friends! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favorites from the week!  Did you see a few of my new favorites that I shared on Tuesday? From home decor to fashion and everything in between!  I'm soooo ready for fall!! I can't wait to start putting out my fall decor, like these cute little Jack-O-Lanterns! Anyone else?? I have several food/drink faves from this week!  When I saw these Maple French Toast bagels at Aldi, I had to grab them! They are so good! I've been eating them with strawberry cream cheese.  I was really hoping the grocery store would have pumpkin creamer already, but the closet fall-ish creamer I could find was this cinnamon churro, and it's really good!  I love a sparkling water, and these are really good! I ordered them from Amazon. The lemon lime is my favorite, but the other two are also really good!  I see these every time I go to Aldi, and I finally caved this week. Ummmm. SO. Dang. Good. They were super rich, an

Nashville Outfits!

 Happy Thursday! I'm headed out to Nashville on Saturday morning- here's what I'm taking with me! For our super early plane ride, I'll be in this Farm Rio top and jean shorts! There will definitely be a blanket in my carryon!  These two dresses are also coming with me. I ordered them both from Amazon.  I'm taking these two tops to wear with jeans.  My Gresham bracelets go everywhere with me! Other than that, I'll take some dainty gold jewelry that will go with everything! As for shoes, I'll switch between a couple different pairs of sneakers. Since I'll be gone the beginning of next week, I'm going to try and have What's Up Wednesday ready to post, and then Friday Favorites. After that, I'll be back on the 31st!  Have a great day!

What I Wore Wednesday

  It's time for another What I Wore Wednesday! Here is kind of my go to outfit/color combo when I "don't have anything to wear."  Navy and pink just belong together, in my opinion! I keep a lot of staple pieces in my wardrobe and they are mostly navy, white, and pink!  I got this dress from Amazon, and I literally get compliments on it every time I wear it! It's the perfect little light sun dress, and I think it will be really great for the cruise we are going on at the end of the year! I pretty much always accessorize with pink when I wear this dress!  One of the BEST purchases I have ever made is definitely this cute little stack from BuDhaGirl. Y'all know I love my Gresham bracelets, too!   These fun earrings came from Marshalls!  I slipped on my pink Tory Burch Miller Sandals , and I was ready for the day! Have a great Wednesday!!

Purchased Lately.

 Happy Tuesday! Here's a look at a few things I have purchased lately! A lot of things are just...things, but they all spark a little joy in my life! This should technically be in a post in my "House to HOME" series, but I wanted to wait on that until we get our window treatment situation figured out. I think I've landed on roman shades, because the curtains behind the headboard really annoy me😂.  We got new sheets and a new quilt for our bed! Our previous comforter was just so difficult to wash and dry and with it being white that needed to be done often. It always overflowed the washing machine, so this will be much easier! Both the sheets and the quilt came from Marshalls. The hydrangeas are new, too! Those are MK Decker! Reid is starting PreK in the fall, so I got him this cute water bottle! It's Hydrapeak, from Marshalls. I love pens. Like LOVE. These are like a skinnier flair pen. I thought the colors were so pretty! I got them at Walmart. If you saw my AL

Weekend Recap

 Happy Monday! How was your weekend?? We had a super fun one!  Friday night we strayed from our usual Mexican spot and got Hibachi/sushi!  Crab and cream cheese wontons- always sooooo good!  This is called The Crystal Roll, and it was delish!  After dinner we ran in to Marshall's to look at new bedding... We got new sheets and this white quilt! I also got some fall decor. Why they have that out already, I have no idea, but of course I had to get some😂.  We both worked on Saturday, and my family headed in to town that afternoon!  All piled in and headed out for a little shopping, and shockingly...Mexican for dinner! Caleb was still at work but met us for dinner where I meant to get a picture but forgot😕. Sunday morning we went to church and out for lunch after.  In case you didn't know, I love this boy! After lunch my family headed back home, and I got in bed and watched Gossip Girl until Caleb got home from work. We ran a few errands before coming home and getting in bed.  Th

Friday Favorites {7.14.23}

Happy, happy FRIDAY! As always, I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favorites from the week!  I mentioned in an earlier blog post that I am super behind on The Bible Recap.....I took all of my stuff to work on Tuesday and got up a little bit!  My work view VS.... My morning view! I love this part of my morning. Plus my freezer jam on toast with an iced coffee makes it even sweeter! Did you catch yesterday's post about my new skincare routine?? I'm liking it so far, but I'm not sure that it's a forever thing. You can read more of my thoughts here. Fresh flowers are my faaaaaavorite!  I picked all of these from our yard and placed them all over the house. They just bring me a little joy every time I see them! I love a podcast!  I started listening to The Squeeze the other day, and I love it! It's hosted by Tay and Taylor Lautner, and they discuss mental health. Thave different guests on each episode to discuss their own journeys with mental health. It
