Christmas Cruise Part Four {Grand Turk and a Day at Sea}

 Hey, hey! Today I am wrapping up this little series on our "Christmas Cruise" by sharing about our last port, our day at sea, and a little about our debarkation! Settle in and maybe picture yourself on an island.... especially if it's as cold where you live as it is in Starkville! It was NINE degrees when I was drinking my coffee yesterday morning. NINE! It's about 10-15 degrees warmer today, so things are looking up 😂. We started off this morning with a towel elephant!  More gorgeous blue water in Grand Turk!!  You just cannot beat this!  What a WARM welcome! As we walked in, I started thinking that this may be my favorite port so far. We decided that we would absolutely go back to Turks and Caicos one day! The infamous pink Starbucks!! How cute?? I knew this was in Turks, but I had no idea it would be where we were. Very Pinterest worthy 😂. This pic may be Pinterest worthy, too! I could not get over that water!  We had to walk a good bit to get to a somewha...

Christmas Cruise Part Three {Half Moon Cay}

 Welcome to PART THREE of our Christmas Cruise recap!! If you missed the first two parts, you can find PART ONE here and PART TWO here. The view from our balcony was quite lovely on the first day of 2024!! I mean, isn't that water just beautiful?? The sun was shining bright and there were no clouds to be seen!  Getting ready to head to the island! Half Moon Cay is a private island owned by Carnival! There was no port for us to get off at, so we had to get on a separate, smaller boat that would drop us off at the island.  To be honest, I'm not much of a sit on the beach kind of girl, but I do love these views so so much!!  There was a beautiful little chapel on the island.  It was a little crowded since we were all together in one fairly small area, but it wasn't awful.  Gah, that water!!! Our ship looked so tiny way out there 😂. Me and my best friend 💗. Those that did get in the water said it was freezing! I only got my feet wet. Back on the big boat! We...

Christmas Cruise Part Two {Nassau}

 Happy Thursday!! Today I'm sharing PART TWO of our Christmas Cruise! If you missed part one, you can read that here.  Ok, now let's get into what we did at our first port- Nassau, Bahamas!  I started the day with a coffee!! We also had breakfast, but I for some reason didn't get any pics there. (The reason was probably that I was hungry and started eating my food as soon as it was in front of me 🙂.) Then, we went to the top floors of the ship to take a look at these beautiful views!  Nassau, you are cute but very overwhelming. (Spoiler....this wasn't our fave port. Maybe if we had done an excursion it would have been different??) But again, SO beautiful.  Another view. I loved all the bright colors. Once we were able to get off the boat, we did a little exploring. Of course I loved the tree!  The little shops set up inside the fence were cute! We did go beyond the fence and that was when things got a little....chaotic may be the correct word. A lot was go...

Christmas Cruise Part One {Miami and Embarkment}

 Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing PART ONE of our Christmas Cruise. In part one I'm covering traveling to Miami and our first day on the ship! We were on Carnival Sunrise that sailed out of Miami. We got up bright and early to head to Madison. (P.S. I am in LOVE with this Amazon set!!  It was the perfect travel day outfit!) Ready to go! Somehow Caleb and I packed together in ONE suitcase. My mind is still blown that I was able to pull that off 😂. Once we got to Madison, we headed to the Jackson Airport!  We flew Southwest, and it was a great experience!! I was a little nervous since there are no assigned seats, but we were luckily in boarding group A, so we got on pretty early and had great seats. We all ended up in the emergency exit section, which we kind of loved (extra leg room, thank you very much!!). Mimi sent me this right as we were about to take off. Reid giving us "bye kisses!" I started a new book on the plane.  My favorite travel partner!  I love t...
