Christmas Cruise Part One {Miami and Embarkment}

 Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing PART ONE of our Christmas Cruise. In part one I'm covering traveling to Miami and our first day on the ship! We were on Carnival Sunrise that sailed out of Miami.

We got up bright and early to head to Madison. (P.S. I am in LOVE with this Amazon set!! It was the perfect travel day outfit!)

Ready to go! Somehow Caleb and I packed together in ONE suitcase. My mind is still blown that I was able to pull that off 😂. Once we got to Madison, we headed to the Jackson Airport!

We flew Southwest, and it was a great experience!! I was a little nervous since there are no assigned seats, but we were luckily in boarding group A, so we got on pretty early and had great seats. We all ended up in the emergency exit section, which we kind of loved (extra leg room, thank you very much!!).

Mimi sent me this right as we were about to take off. Reid giving us "bye kisses!"

I started a new book on the plane.

My favorite travel partner!

I love the window seat...you can't beat this view!

Caleb's sister Sadie sat with us on flight two. I mean, how cute are the pink lights??

Caleb took this pic. Gorgeous, right 😍?

We arrived in Miami around 7 and once we got our bags and an Uber and made it to the hotel it was about 8, and we had Papa Johns for a super late dinner.

Hotel coffee is the best right??

The building across from our room was pretty cool!

I grabbed this pic while waiting for an Uber to take us to the ship!

First view once we were inside! I was so glad they still had Christmas decorations out.

Exploring the ship a little.

The water in Miami was beautiful!

We were hungry, so we grabbed lunch. Most of the food we had was really good- especially the pizza!

Hotty Toddy!

We got into our rooms within about 2 hours of being on the ship. I think we had a pretty spacious room- and great views! We had a room on the outside of the ship with a balcony.

Headed out! I honestly thought I would feel a little nervous once we headed out, but I really wasn't.

Me and SG.

Me and C.

I meannnn.....

It was super windy- we were traveling pretty fast.

And we ended the night in the piano bar! Thankfully we had a seamless travel day and a great first day on the ship!

And that wraps up PART ONE! Have a great Tuesday!!

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
