Charleston 2025

Happy Wednesday, friends!! Today I am sharing all about my recent trip to Charleston with my mom, Mimi, and Lib! On June 19, we loaded up and headed towards Charleston, SC! We stopped in Augusta, GA, for lunch at Metro Diner. My mom has a wheat allergy, and she loves their gluten free grilled cheese. Lib and I shared their club sandwich and a grilled ham and cheese- both were so good! After what seemed like forever, we finally made it! We strolled down King Street..... We strolled a bit more before trying to find something for dinner. I think this is all on Queen Street! We landed on pizza! They had gluten free crust! But y'all, our waitress was SO rude. Maybe even beyond rude. The pizza was delish though- sausage and banana peppers is a great combo! Caleb and I ate at this same place when we came- our waitress was nice, though- ha! It's called New York City Pizza, and it's on E. Bay St. Just behind there is the famous Pineapple Fountain in Waterfront Park. Gorgeous views!...

Charleston Eats!

Happy Thursday, friends! Today's post is 100% dedicated to the food we ate in Charleston. If you missed my trip recaps, you can find those HERE. When we first got to Charleston, we were pretty hungry. We googled places to eat and decided on Bumpa's . Here's what we ate there..... We started with pretzels and cheese. The pretzels almost tasted like a french toast stick. It was different, but we really loved it! The waitress was AWESOME. I wish so badly I knew her name. But, she explained the menu to us and detail and suggested that if we were to get some of their loaded fries, we share. Because they are huge. Good grief, they were bigger than huge! We had tons leftover, but they really were so good. I got a hot honey chicken sandwich (with pickles!). The pickles were so good! The sandwich was good, too. We really liked this place! I was really in the mood for sushi, so we found Shiki . I got the spicy tuna roll, Caleb got a lemon jalapeƱo roll (recommended by the waitress!)...
