Hello Monday {3.18.24}

Hello Monday!! I'm officially back to school and spring break is over. It was so nice to have a break from all of my assignments! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share all about our weekend.

Friday morning, I read my bible and watched the rain! Have I mentioned that I loooove watching the rain??

Well......this was basically the rest of my Friday. I did have an assignment to work on, but aside from that I watched this all day!

When Caleb got home from work, we were starving but didn't want to go sit down anywhere. We landed on Slim Chickens! I got my tenders tossed in mango habanero and dipped them in ranch- SO good!! I usually do the garlic parm, but I wanted something spicy this time.

Saturday morning, I read my bible while Caleb went to check on one of his job sites.

Once he got back, I got ready so we could go grab some things for dinner. One of my favorite outfits to wear when I don't really know what to wear is this: tshirt, leggings or jeans, barefoot dreams cardigan, and sneakers!

Our Kroger run.....Caleb made steaks on the Blackstone, and I made dessert.

Baking away! I haven't done this in so long, and I forgot how much I actually like to bake!

Rhonda's cookies!! These are the BEST chocolate chip cookies EVER. I'm not much of a sweets eater, but with these, I can't stop myself!!

Then, I decided to clean out my closet. I did not go too well 😂. I am very sentimental when it comes to my clothes, but I did manage to lose a couple of pieces I never wear anymore.

I am so obsessed with this set from Mimi Seabrook! It will be so cute for spring and summer! There are still a few left in stock of the top here, and the pants here. If you can, snag them!! I also got this top in my recent order, but I forgot to snap a picture. It will be so cute with jean shorts or white denim!

Our delicious steak dinner! Of course I had to bring out the fine china!

Later that night, I got an itch to update my spring tablescape! I mixed in my McCarty pottery with my everyday dishes and added Easter napkins!

Very festive for St. Patrick's Day! I usually don't wear green very often, but I realize now that I love it!

Cookies, tea, and golf post church/lunch/grocery run! I took a nap shortly after I took this pic!!

A few hours later and in the same spot! I switched my tea for wine, and golf for Desperate Housewives! we ate those mini chicken tacos from Trader Joe's for dinner. I wish I had gotten more boxes- I definitely will next time!! I also made a dipping sauce for them with ranch, a little bit of green goddess dressing, and just a touch of sriracha. So random, but it was actually really good!

We had a relaxing weekend, and although I'm not really ready to get back to my school work, I am ready for a fresh new week! Have a happy Monday!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
