Friday Favorites {3.22.24}

Finally Friday!! I've got a fun weekend ahead, but first I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika to share some faves from the week!

My Mimi found these place mats at an estate sale last weekend, and she got them for me! She said the lady hosting the sale told her they are vintage and probably from the 60s or 70s. I thought they were so pretty on my table for spring!

I saw these at Kroger and grabbed a couple to have for a quick breakfast. This one was really good. I also got a double chocolate but haven't tried it yet. I mixed mine with milk for a little extra protein!

Are you washing your laundry with baking soda?? I've been adding about 1/4 cup to a load, in addition to my regular detergent, and I swear it makes our clothes and towels smell much more fresh!

Remember this fire pit we bought last summer?? Well, we finally used it Wednesday night, and it was soooo nice!

Last but not least.....

New Testament time!! It's taking me longer than a year to read through the bible, but I am getting it done! I wrapped up the 39th book of the bible yesterday, and I am now 75% of the way through the entire bible.

Thanks for reading! Have a happy day!!

  1. I always throw a cup of baking soda in the washer with our towels; in the summer if they get real smelly (we live on a lake!) I'll also add a cup of white vinegar.

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
