Day in the Life

Happy Thursday! Today I thought I'd share with you a pretty typical day in my life.

Yesterday was my first day back at work after being sick. I really thought waking up would be a lot harder than it was, but when my alarm went off at 5:45, I got right up!

After I brushed my teeth, I headed to the living room.
I turned on my lamp and Valentine's tree and plugged in my heated blanket. Then I headed for the coffee!
I turned this lamp on, too. I love a lamp! Once my coffee was ready, I headed to the couch to start on The Bible Recap for the day.

I read my Bible, did the study guide, and listened to the podcast. After that I worked a little on my blog. Around 7, I went to go take my shower.

While I'm getting ready, I like to listen to a podcast. On this day, I listened to...
One of my favorites!

Ready to head out the door! My dress is old from Mimi Seabrook and my sneakers are Bella Vita

I listened to Office Ladies on my way to work...
...and while I waited to go in!

Our whole morning was spent stuffing and addressing thank you notes from Christmas! (I work at a jewelry store!)

For lunch, I came home and had leftover pizza.
We love Papa Johns. Probably a little too much. 🙂

While I was at work and wasn't busy, I read a book.

We got dinner out at The Grill.
This is what was left of our pepper jack fried cheese before I thought to take a picture.

I got the sweet heat chicken sliders, and Caleb had a Philly cheesesteak.

When we got home, I did a little laundry before we got back on...

...this puzzle that we started BEFORE Christmas. Try as we might, but we are not puzzle people like we thought we would be.

After I got ready for bed, I read some more of my book. I try to get in bed around 9. Sometimes it's long before then, depending on how tired I am, but I like to try to be asleep by 10:30.

I hope you enjoyed a little peek into what a day in my life is like! Have a great Thursday!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...
