Weekend Recap

 Happy Monday, y'all! Whew it was a jam-packed weekend, and I'm ready for a fresh new week!

Saturday after I got off of work, we headed straight to Madison for a wedding! We stopped at Caleb's parent's house to get ready- literally like 5 minutes! We made it just in time for a beautiful wedding! I didn't get any ceremony pictures, but I got lots at the reception.

I take that back- I grabbed this super quick before the ceremony started! Are you a wedding crier?! I sure am.

Pretty florals!

When I was planning my wedding, my wedding planner told me that no one ever leaves a wedding saying that was the best meal of their life, so don't focus too hard on what you serve. But let me tell you, those grits were the best I have ever had.😂

This is me and my sister with the sister of the groom. They have been friends since they were 5, I think. Love you NB!!

Me and my mom with the mother of the groom. I love that they are holding hands in this pic.😂

Sunday morning we went to church...
And then had lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant! We devoured those chips big time!

Some Sunday shopping with my sister- and her BF!

This cover grabbed my attention- it's so cute! I read the synopsis, and I'm adding it to my list to read!

Once we got back to Starkville Sunday night, we unpacked and took care of a few household chores and went to bed way later than I like to! But it was another super fun but super busy weekend!

Are you gearing up for a romantic Valentine's Day, or are you treating yourself this year? Whatever you're doing, I hope it's fabulous! Caleb and I have decided on Papa John's (and probably watching The Office!). Super fancy, huh?!😉😂

Have a happy week!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
