Aldi & Walmart Haul

Happy Tuesday!! Yesterday I did my grocery shopping for the week. I went to Aldi first and did the bulk of my shopping, but there are a few things they never have. For the remaining two things on my list, I went to our Walmart Market that's right by our house. It's so convenient! I, of course, left there with more than just the two things I went in for.

Here's what I got at Aldi:

I decided to try these, and they are so good! They're just a little bit sweeter than a regular strawberry.

These will go on a sheet pan dinner tonight!

These looked yummy!

These will go with the Brussels sprouts on the sheet pan.

These were just ok. They taste like cucumbers that haven't soaked long enough in the brine.

Goat Cheese and Penne is on the menu this week, and their goat cheese is the cheapest around!

I was planning on doing a blackened cod one night this week, but they didn't have cod, so I got this stuffed salmon. Looks good!

I love a beef jerky or snack stick! These were both really good.

I love their Clancy's brand chips.

They only had the family size of Chip's. Ahoy cookies, so I grabbed their brand. They're actually really good!

Now for what I got at Walmart. I went in for sun dried tomatoes and old english cheese spread.
I prefer the Julienne Cut.

And for the extras...
We like these for an easy lunch or dinner.

I always get the biggest size of ranch, because we got through it so quickly.

All of this will make...
1. Chicken gyros with a feta cheese sauce
2. Sausage sheet pan with veggies and side salad
3. Stuffed salmon with stuffed mushrooms and side salad
4. Goat cheese and penne
5. Sausage and cheese english muffins
6. Greek yogurt ranch dip with chips
Aldi is quite a bit cheaper than Walmart or Kroger. I spent $87 at Aldi and $24 at Walmart (on only 4 things!)

I think that wraps today up! I'll see you back here tomorrow for the March edition of Let's Look with Shay and Erika! Have a great Tuesday!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
