Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, friends! We had such a good and relaxing weekend. I only have one picture from the whole weekend. 😂

We kicked off Friday night with dinner at Slim Chickens...garlic parm tossed tenders for me please!

We followed dinner with ice cream. Caleb had a chocolate peanut butter, and I had blueberry cobbler cold brew. YUM!

I worked Saturday morning, and when I got off we went to Marshall's, Ulta, and Academy. We had Mexican for dinner at 5pm and were in the bed by like 6:45. We are such party people.😂 It stormed through the night so that made for really good sleep!

We had planned to get up and go to church Sunday, but I guess that one hour lost really messed us up, so we just slept in. We didn't go anywhere or do anything except for watching golf and doing laundry.

Weekends like that are so nice every now and then!

Today I'll be grocery shopping! Here's my meal plan:

Monday: Chicken Gyros with feta dressing

Tuesday: Sheet Pan sausage and veggies

Wednesday: Blackened Cod with green beans and side salad

Thursday: Goat Cheese and Penne

I'm also making the Tik Tok "fat muffins" that we can have for dinner one night if needed or for an easy breakfast!

Have a great day!!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
