What's Up Wednesday {April 2023}

It's that time again! I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share what's been up with our month! I can't believe May is nearly here!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK:
Monday night we had shrimp, salad, and mac and cheese.
Last night we had red beans and rice!
I'm willing to be that tonight I'll have Chick-fil-A in the car!
The rest of the week I'll be eating all that Disney food.😁
As for what Caleb is eating the rest of the week- I have no idea!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT:
All week, my Snapchat memories have been last years Orlando trip, as well as all the quarantine photos! Is it weird to say I miss that???
Seriously where did that baby go?! Now we're off for his FIRST Disney experience. I can't wait!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING:
THIS is what I've been really loving lately. I really like this flavor! And it definitely gives me energy.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO:
Oh not much. I feel like this month was crazy busy, though. My sister had her Senior party, both of Caleb's parents had a birthday, and now Disney. Lots of time in the car!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING:
I'm about to be even more annoying than I already have been, BUT I'm dreading waiting in those lines at Disney.😂

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON:
Packing! I feel like I'm definitely going to forget something!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT:
Ummm....I think we all know!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING:
Young Sheldon AND The Big Bang Theory. Caleb and I are watching Young Sheldon, and I'm watching TBBT on my own- he's already watched it through completely. I'm also SO excited about Firefly Lane coming in a couple of days!

As for reading....I haven't read much this month. The last book I read was kind of a doozy, so April's Book Review may not be all that exciting. You can find my previous BOOK REVIEWS HERE!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO:
Still jamming out to Taylor Swift every chance I get. Caleb is really enjoying it.😂

10: WHAT I'M WEARING:
I feel like I'm in a rut with my outfits lately. I'm getting tired of last year's dresses, and I'm already over white pants. Ugh!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
In all seriousness, my sister has her LAST EVER cheer competition, and I'm a little sad to see this chapter of her life come to a close. I've seen her work SO hard for SO much over the last several years. I've seen her set and reach goals, face defeat, heartache, bravery, victory, and more. She's accomplished so much with this sport, she's made lifelong friends, and I'm so proud of her!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I wouldn't say this is something I'm looking forward to, but that sister mentioned about, my BABY sister (who I wanted to return when she was born😉) is graduating HIGH SCHOOL next month, and I really can't believe it.

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH:
I have a few!
I really loved this nail polish!
This color is bright and fun, and I love that it comes with a lacquer and a gel polish!
Big earrings are always fun!
I thought the watermelons were so cute too! I kept the red ones for myself and gave the pink to my mother in law!

Ok, that's it for today! Have a GREAT rest of your week and weekend! I'll see you back here on Tuesday with my APRIL BOOK REVIEW!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
