Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a great weekend celebrating the wonderful mothers in your life- we sure did!

Saturday after I got off of work, we headed to my mom and step dad's house. Not long after we got there, I gave this cutie a bath and got him ready for dinner!

I mean....I can never say no to this sweet face. He wanted me to take a picture of his crazy hair to show his KK.😂

We went out to dinner with my mom Saturday night and did lunch with Caleb's mom on Sunday!

These two always go above and beyond for us, and we are so blessed to call them MOM!💗

Sunday afternoon we headed back to my mom's to spend a little time with her before we headed back to Starkville.

When we got back home, I went out and watered my plants and picked some flowers.

Have I mentioned that I love flowers??? Also, one of my Hydrangea bushes is more of a pink/purple and the other is more blue/purple. So weird!

I really like to have the kitchen cleaned up before we go to bed. Some nights that doesn't happen, but I had time to last night.

There's really not much that's better than a clean kitchen! Now today I can focus on laundry.😂

A few other weekend tidbits....

Caleb's parents know me so well.😂

I grabbed another color in this DND brand from Amazon. I'm gonna be honest, the lacquer doesn't last very long and chips easily, but I'm anxious to try the gel! I think my nails are almost completely back to normal, so hopefully I can try it out soon.

This color is called Tropicana Daze. I'm assuming the "up to 21 days" is referring to the gel.

Caleb's mom had two of these, so she gave me one!

The color is called Hard-core Party.

And here's our meal plan for the week.....

Last night we had snacks from Sonic on our way home!

Monday: Pulled Pork Sandwiches with baked beans. (This was on last week's plan, but I forgot we had a graduation party that would be serving the same thing, so I saved it for this week!)

Tuesday: Buffalo Chicken Meatballs with baked potatoes

Wednesday: Sausage, onion, and pepper sheet pan

Thursday: Crock Pot Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta (This is a TikTok recipe, so fingers crossed it's good!)

Friday: Out to eat or leftovers!

Have a fabulous Monday!!

My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
