Typology {At First Glance}

It's Friday Jr.! Woohoo! Today I'm sharing with you my NEW skincare routine!

After seeing Typology on mixandmatchmama.com, I thought about it for a few days before deciding to try it out for myself! It's from Paris, so of course I was drawn to it!

I've realized that I love any and all skincare and no matter how hard I try, I can't stick with one brand even if I really love it. I just want to try any and everything I can get my hands on. Getting new products makes me excited to take better care of my skin, too!

What I love about Typology is that you go to their site, take a quiz, and they tell you your skin type and give you product recommendations based on that. My skin typology is DE(+). It's a super simple quiz that only takes a few minutes.

So, here's my FULL routine!

AM:

Matifying Serum - with 10% Azelaic Acid

Firming Moisturizer - 0.2% Retinol + Tsubaki Oil

(I also got a free Organic Cornflower Hydrolate, and I use that to clean off product from the night before and prep my skin in the AM.)

PM:

7-Ingredient Micellar Water

Exfoliating Cleansing Gel - with 5% PHA + Aloe Vera

Serum for Wrinkles and Loss of Firmness - 1% Plant Collagen + 10% Vitamin C

OKAY. Here are my "first glance" opinions. I've been using it for about 5 days now.

-It was a pretty good price for everything I got! (5 products + a free product and free cosmetic bag)

-No moisturizer at night is weird.

-No face wash in the morning is even weirder.

-Everything smells really good and fresh.

-It's natural and vegan.

-The Micellar Water takes my makeup off SO well.

-It's not my favorite skin care I've ever used, but I do like it so far.

-I like that it's customized to my skin's needs rather than just a few products I picked on my own.

I will update after I've been using it for a little bit longer, but I wanted to share my thoughts on it so far. My plan is to use it until I'm running low, and then I'll decided whether I want to keep with it or try something else.

What's your favorite skincare? Anything I should try out?

Have a great day!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
