Weekend Recap

Happy Fourth of July! I hope you are all having a safe and happy holiday! I'm here with a quick recap of our long weekend for your Tuesday!

After work on Friday, we grabbed a pizza from Papa John's and got in bed early to finish Grown Ups 2!

Saturday after I got off work, we headed to the movie theatre to see No Hard Feelings. It was so cute! Rated R, and rightfully so, but SO cute and really funny!

Nachos and popcorn for dinner!

Sunday morning we slowly got ready and ran a few errands- Lowe's, Academy, and Mexican for lunch! Caleb went to work for a few hours, and while he was there....

I watched And Just Like That... It's so raunchy, and it just does not compare to Sex and the City, but I can't quit watching it.

I read for a little bit Sunday evening. Caleb made Rhonda's Chocolate Chip Cookies, and I've been eating wayyyy too many!! You have to make these! They are the BEST cookies you'll ever have!

Natasha via @nashvilletash (on Instagram) posted about the sale Farm Rio is having, so I had to check it out! Farm Rio is my faaaavorite brand to SPLURGE on!

I ended up grabbing this top! They are still having 30% off site wide through today!

Monday morning I had my freezer jam on toast with an iced coffee!

I did my usual Monday morning grocery shopping, and when I got home I got in bed and started Gossip Girl. I have put off watching this show for sooo many years, but I really like it!!

Caleb worked late, so I made dinner and moved into the living room to watch Gossip Girl. I'm watching on HBO, but supposedly it will be on Netflix again in a few days.

I hope you had a great weekend and continue having a great Fourth of July holiday! We're having burgers and these baked beans for lunch today, but other than that we have no plans! See you tomorrow!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
