Nashville PART ONE

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! Today I'm giving you PART ONE of our Nashville trip!

My sister, her boyfriend Cayden, and I went to visit my dad and step-mom in Nashville about a week ago...here's everything we did on day one!

Up and at 'em early early for our plane ride!

I read a bit and had coffee with the best ever Biscoff cookies!

This view never gets old😍.

We thought the lighting on flight #2 was fun!

Once we got there and got kind of settled in, we sat out by the pool while we decided on our first thing to do.

We landed on lunch at Restoration Hardware, where I had this delish lobster roll! I also tried my sister's steak, and I'm pretty sure it was THE BEST steak I've ever had.

After our late lunch, we headed to 12 South for a little shopping- and picture taking!

Our Draper James picks!

We also got these sweatshirts! The embroidered version can only be bought in the Nashville store, but you can get one without embroidery here. I sized up to a Medium, and I'm so glad I did.

Another pic :).

We went in pretty much every store in that area before calling it a day! When we got back to the house, we sat by the pool and ate tons of chips and dip!

And that's PART ONE! I'll have parts two and three up next week! Have a great day!

I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST.  Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
