A Day in the Life

 Happy Thursday!! How is your week going? I feel like it's going by super fast and super slow all at the same time.

I documented my day yesterday. Here's a little peak into what a day usually looks like for me.

I started my morning at the coffee pot. Ok, I have to ask...are you a teeth brusher before or after coffee? I HAVE to brush my teeth as soon as I get out of bed, but I know plenty of people wait until after coffee to brush theirs.

I grabbed my coffee and turned on all the lamps and Christmas lights.

I sat down with my bible, devotional, and heated blanket.

Does it get any cozier than being curled up on the couch, under a warm blanket, watching the rain?? Praise Jesus for that rain!! (All of the trucks out front are cracking me up....we are surrounded by frat boys 🤣.)

I made my bed.

OOTD. I'm obsessed with my new sweater from Amazon. It's super soft and comes in several colors.

Time for school work. And back under the warm blanket!

We had dinner out at The Grill. I always get the sweet heat sliders- they are SO GOOD.

We don't say no to dessert very often around here.

The Christmas lights are up on Main Street. Plus, all the little shops along main street had Christmas trees in the windows! I have to admit...Starkville you are cute. Especially at Christmas!

Back home for the night, and I did a little more school work before....

getting in bed to watch Grey's Anatomy.

That was our Wednesday! Have a great day! I'll see you back here tomorrow for some Friday Favorites!!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
