What's Up Wednesday {November 2023}

Happy Wednesday, friends! How is your week going? How was your NOVEMBER??? Only one more month of 2023 left! I can honestly say that 2023 has been one of my BEST years yet! It's been fun, happy, and exciting! What about you??

I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share aaalllll about my November!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Sunday night we stopped at Taco Bell on our way back to Starkville. Monday night we had Papa Johns. Not anything fancy or healthy whatsoever....oh well. We'll get back on track next week!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Ohhh, just last night.....

Tara Leigh Cobble came to our church for the Women's Christmas Gathering. She preached a sermon on REST, and I think it's just what most of us needed.

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

I am loving all the Christmas lights everywhere, the songs, the movies, the special coffees, the cold weather. This is truly the BEST time of the year in my opinion, and I am trying to soak it all up!

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Work, school, prepping for Peyton and Carson's wedding....that's basically it.

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

I'm not really dreading anything, but I am so worried that I'm going to let something slip through the cracks between my final assignments/tests this week and the wedding on Friday!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I am slowly but surely trying to get back on The Bible Recap everyday. I'm definitely not going to get it done before the end of the year, but I'm giving myself grace because at this point that's really all I can do!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

Caleb is making me a wooden cutting board, so I'm excited about that and the fact that I can ditch the plastic cutting board we currently have! I can't wait to see how it turns out!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

All the cheesy Hallmark movies. I'm also still watching Reba- that's one that I can watch over and over and never get tired of it! And we're still watching Grey's Anatomy before bed.

With this view, though, I honestly don't care what's on the tv 😂.

I'm still on the same Christmas book that I was probably on last month. I've also started another book on my Kindle...fingers crossed I can get a book review together for next month!!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

I don't think I have to tell y'all this one....

but here's a specific song I've had on repeat lately.

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

My wardrobe has been very Christmasy lately. Whether it's in your face ooorrrrr...

more subtle.

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Libbey's birthday is on Saturday, so I think we'll probably go out to eat that night. Also, we're going to a Christmas parade that morning!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

I'm super excited to give everyone their Christmas gifts! We're also going on a cruise after Christmas with Caleb's family, so I'm looking forward to that!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH

Hands down...this sweater.

It's perfect.

Have a GREAT Wednesday!!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
