Weekend Recap

Well, HELLO MONDAY (and happy December)!! We had the best weekend EVER celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Buckner!! I missed out on Friday Favorites since we were doing all things rehearsal dinner and prepping for wedding day, so here's a look back on last week and the weekend!

This was last Monday...when you see fireworks while driving down the highway, you have to pull over and snap a picture, right??

We had the best night listening to Tara-Leigh Cobble speak at our church. I wanted to share something that she said about our time reading the Bible and being with The Lord each day that really resonated with me. She said "We are not in a drought of time. We are in a drought of DESIRE." Wow. Right?? If you ever have the opportunity to hear her speak, you should absolutely jump on it!!

Well, this came as NO surprise to me....I just got Spotify in July of this year, so I think this is pretty impressive 😂.

There's no Cane's in Starkville, so I got my fix while in Madison last week. It was so. dang. good.

I started a new book. I'm really hopeful for that December book review. Once I get done with final exams, I'll have a lot more time on my hands!

Thursday afternoon, I helped my mother in law set up for the rehearsal dinner. I think the centerpieces turned out so pretty!

The bride/groom/parents table.

And just like that....it was wedding day!! We had the best night EVER!! We laughed, we cried, and we had so much fun!!

Praying over our girl right before she walked down the aisle.

Saturday was Lib's birthday, so we celebrated her all day long, and I got zero pictures. We shopped, went to a Christmas parade, ate Mexican, and looked at Christmas lights.

Sunday after church, we had lunch at Twisted Turnip. It was so good! I had chicken fried steak with fried green tomatoes and gouda grits- YUM!

Well, now we're off to a fresh new week! Have a wonderful Monday!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...
