Closet Chat: Shoes Edition

Hey friends! It's time for a Closet Chat! On a previous edition of this little series, I asked what topics I should "chat" about next, and my mom suggested shoes! I'm such a shoe girl. I'm a shoe collector. I'm a firm believer in that shoes can make or break an outfit AND your attitude. I basically live by the saying "Life is short, buy the shoes." I never ever ever regret buying that pair of shoes I've been eyeing!!

I mean...I love a shoe. So, today I thought we'd take a trip down memory lane- in the form of shoes!

I'm just going to jump in here with the order in which I took the pictures of these shoes I'm sharing today. These are just a few pairs that hold some type of meaning for me. Let's get into it!

Who had these Ugg wedges?? Sheaffer Told Me To! Well, she told my mom to, but my mom ended up giving them to me! I still love these and wear them at least once a summer.

I. Love. Wedges. I would say they're my favorite type of shoe by far! I got these at the Clark's outlet in New Orleans yearssss ago! They were my Easter shoes, and we accidentally left them behind with all of or other purchases at the hotel. Luckily, we got it all back and in time for Easter! Mom and Mrs. Kim- do y'all remember this cheer trip? One of my favorite memories!

#influencedagain I tried so hard to get my mom to take me to Target when we were at DISNEY WORLD, so that I could go look for these shoes. HA 😂. I think I ended up either ordering them or finding them at our Target in Jackson.

Ahh, THE wedding shoes!! My dream shoe. For me, there was no other option than these to get married in. I love these so so much. I wore them again for Caleb's brother's rehearsal dinner. I try to wear either my wedding shoes or wedding earrings- or both!- to any wedding event I go to. Here's the link for a slightly update version!

I was slightly convinced I brought Covid to the US from the UK with these sneakers back in 2020! Princess Catherine had them in the white and green, but this is all they had left, so of course I still bought them 😂.

Ohhhh, my Vejas! My favorite everyday sneaker (also worn by the Princess!!).

I had my eye on these for sooooo long and ended up finding them on a great sale at Nordstrom Rack! I also have these in a pink suede. They're my favorite (and the most comfy) pump I've ever tried! Some colors are on sale right now!

I think these were the first pair of shoes that I really "splurged" on. I wanted these for so long, and I finally caved maybe my senior year of high school. And bonus, they feel like you're walking on clouds!

Both of these shoes absolutely destroyed my feet at some Ole Miss games. But, hey. I looked cute, and that's what's important, right?? #memories

These slim profile Uggs were my absolute favorite shoe ever for a couple of winters. Clearly 😂.

I love my "geese" as me and Libbey call them. They're comfy, cute, and go with literally everything. I love the superstar style.

Gorgeous, right? These are my "Taylor shoes." My plan is to wear these to The Eras Tour this fall!! I know, my feet will be killing me. Clearly, I do not care how my feet feel 😉.

And last but not least, these Target boots that I reach for all the time in the fall and winter! These are like Monica's boots- I wear them with skirts, pants, dresses. Everything!! Except they don't make my feet bleed like hers did- IYKYK!

In case you needed a visual 😂.

Ok, that's it for SHOES!! Have a great Tuesday! Wear a cute pair of shoes today and go conquer the world!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
