Life Lately.

 

I'm back!! Happy 2024, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Holiday with your loved ones! I thought today would be a great day to share what we've been up to since my last blog post in December. I am also linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday! 

We attended our Christmas Eve service at our church back in Madison. In case I haven't mentioned it a time or two, this is my very favorite Christmas tradition!

Day after Christmas fun...

We came back to Starkville on this day. Caleb had to work and I did lots and lots of laundry! 

I found the cutest plastic plates and bowls at Walmart for FIFTY cents!! 

Got some pretty new wall art from my mom for Christmas! These are by MK Decker- a local artist. Caleb and I have both in these 3 cities, in this order. 

Mimi and Libbey gifted us some more Estelle! (I may need more cabinet space if I want any more😂)

I got a new curling iron for Christmas, and my curls lasted a looong time!! 

We packed up and headed somewhere WARM!! More on that to come later! 

I love these little word searches to find my words of the year. Somehow they always end up being PERFECT! The words I found for this year are freedom, growth, abundance. (And if you aren't following @thefancyashley on IG, you should be!)

I got some new Lake pjs, and I'm in love with them! These are my very favorite pjs, they're so soft!- if you don't have a pair, treat yourself! I'm about 5'8.5" and I'm in a small/tall. I think these pants are supposed to be a bit cropped, but I'm fine with them being long. They only had tall left in this pattern, and it's the pattern I wanted 😂. (P.S. they are launching Valentine's patterns today!)

I live for these slow moments where I'm still in my pjs with a second cup of coffee at 12 o'clock!

Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday!
