Weekend Recap

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I took lots of pictures this weekend- yay! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday to share all about it!!

I started my Friday off in a really great way 😅. Spilled my coffee all over my lap and my bible.

Lots and lots of textbook reading on this day!

Caleb's parents came to visit and take us out to eat that night. We went to Harvey's, and I had shrimp and grits. YUM!

My mother in law brought us this cute door mat!

We ordered an ottoman for our living room, and Caleb's parents took the table we had. Soooo it's super empty in there right now!

Saturday morning views! I mean if it's going to be so cold, it might as well SNOW!! Sadly, it's just not going to 😂.

Some verses that stuck out to me.

I got ready and we headed out to run some errands. I wore my fave new pullover from Amazon!

Caleb needed new boots for work, so of course I had to grab something for myself 😉............

I got another pair of these Bombas socks! I really love them!!

We had lunch at one of our fave spots- Bulldog Burger! Their truffle fries are the BEST- especially with the queso fondue! I also usually always get their sweet heat chicken sandwich.

We have been having such trouble with STATIC in our house lately. So, we decided to get a humidifier. We think it's really working so far. We got this one from Lowe's.

I read for a little bit Saturday afternoon.

Sunday morning coffee and Bible Recap!

Once I finished TBR, we got ready and went to try out a new church!

I'm not sure what's better- Friday night Mexican or post-church Mexican! What's your pick?? For me, I choose both 😂. I could literally eat Mexican multiple times a week!! If you ever find yourself in Starkville and are overwhelmed by the (approximately) 87 Mexican restaurants, El Veracruz is our favorite!

Then it was time for grocery shopping. Aldi first...

And then we headed to Kroger.

I found these at Aldi, and they're pretty good. If I don't think about it too hard, it kind of tastes like an Almond Joy 😂.

I HAD to grab these truffles. Remember the ones from Christmas? Well, they're back in Valentine's form and heart shaped! How cute! And they are soooo good!

We got in bed early last night and watched Grey's Anatomy!

Thanks for reading today! Have a happy Monday!!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
