Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, friends!! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday to share all about our weekend- it was a fun one!

My mom and my sister's boyfriend came into town Friday evening, and they brought my pillow cover from Amazon. I LOVE it!! And we of course had Mexican for dinner, but I forgot to take any pics.

Saturday morning, we got up and hit the road to head to Huntsville!!

My car ride look!

Downtown Huntsville! It was a gloomy day.

Lunch at one of our fave spots ever! We discovered this on a cheer trip to Huntsville a couple years ago, and we loved it so much that we had it for lunch both days that weekend! There's also a location in Birmingham. If you are ever near one, you must stop!! I love the buffalo chicken sandwich and side salad- their ranch is amazing!

Next stop, Target!!

I. Love. Target. Here's a mini haul.....

I needed a welcome mat (that isn't holiday themed!) for our front door. This one is Studio McGee.

I looooved this oversized pink button down. They have it in tons of colors! I got a small.

Giant candles are officially my new love language!! This is a fabulous dupe for Volcano. And only $30 for this 35 oz!! I also liked the Marine Moss a lot.

I also grabbed this little white tank for $6.

Ok, back to the weekend! Our next stop......

Trader Joe's!! The Huntsville TJ's is the BEST! Get read for a haul coming tomorrow!

We got home and our ottoman was waiting for us on the porch! Caleb put it together while me and my mom went for a walk. As you can see, he really loves it!! Dare I say it, but I *think* our living room is COMPLETE!!

Then, we had tea and hung out a little bit before bed.

I read for a little bit once I got in the bed. I'm thinking I'll put together everything I read in January and February for one book review.

Sunday morning, I started my day by finishing the book of Jeremiah.

I really loved these verses.

Post church lunch with some of my very favorite people!

My sister made me a loaded tea in my TS cup!!

Last night, this happened. I may or may not be losing my mind. #oops😂

Alright friends, have a fabulous Monday!!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
