Weekend Recap

It's Monday!! Here's to a fresh, new week! As always, I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday and to share all about our weekend!

My weekend started out so sweet! I finished my school work in time to read a bit before going to dinner.

The after math of four people who really enjoy Mexican food. Or I should say- two girls who are obsessed with Mexican food and drag their guys along with them any chance they get 😂.

Reading in bed for a little bit! It's been too long since I've done this!

I woke up to a quiet house Saturday morning!

I did The Bible Recap. Then, we went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast before getting ready for the day.

Ready to do some shopping! Except, remember my February goal?? Yeah, no impulse purchases!! I've actually done really well with this! We went to a few places mainly to look around, and I wanted to get some ideas for nightstands for my bedroom.

We came home, and I got ready for date night! Libbey and Cayden had formal this night, so they got ready for that.

I read a little bit while I waited on Caleb to get home and get ready.

Our view on the way to dinner 😍. So gorgeous!!

One of our favorite places in Starkville! I had a Raspberry Drop to drink, and it was delish!

Lobster Risotto, yes please! It was FABULOUS!

And for dessert- Tiramisu! We usually get their chocolate cake, but they were sold out of it, so we got this instead. Yum! And such a fun night! It's been a while since we actually got dressed up a little and went out for a date night, so that was nice!

Sunday morning coffee and Jesus! We went out to lunch and then to the grocery.

I was showered, hair washed, and in pjs before 4:30!!

Have a great day! Thanks for reading!

Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {8.29.25}

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
