What I Eat in a Day (Regular Macro)

Happy Thursday, friends! Today I'm sharing with you everything I eat in a regular macro day (HIGH carb, LOW fat).

In case you missed it, I shared a "What I Eat in a Day" Low Carb edition on Tuesday, plus a little about FasterWay!

Though I do love a low carb day, I am always so ready for CARBS come Wednesday Morning!! Now, everyday isn't always the same of course, but my breakfast is usually eggs, protein pancakes/oatmeal, or some kind of breakfast sandwich. I like to eat a pretty heavy breakfast.

I started out with coffee and a few tablespoons of vanilla nutpods.

Once I broke my fast, I had a bowl of this protein oatmeal. It's not my favorite thing to eat, because it honestly doesn't have that much protein in my opinion, but I had one pack left and decided to eat it on this day.

Then I had grapes, which are my FAVORITE way to get in a bunch of good carbs!!

Cheese for fat and protein! Yes, I had all three. Usually low carb days are all about all. the. cheese. But I was low on fats and protein this day, and this was an easy way to get them both in.

Yogurt is a fave of mine of regular macro days! These little 4oz containers are great snack with a good amount of carbs and protein.

For lunch, I had leftover spicy turkey bowls. If I had needed more carbs, I would've added rice or quinoa, but I was all good there. I also had an Olipop! It has a few carbs and fiber, so I save it for higher carb days. If I need a "fun" drink on a low carb day I go for La Croix, which is also fast friendly.

I love love love these protein bars for good carbs and protein!

About two hours later, I had a protein shake on the go. I was getting in soooo many carbs and so little protein, so a shake helped me up my protein a good bit!

For dinner we had Trader Joe's heart shaped pasta with their Calabrian chili pasta sauce. Cute, festive, easy, delish 🙂.

I also had a pretty generous glass of this wine (also from Trader Joe's).

And I even had room for one of these truffles!!

See, don't I eat A TON??? When I first started FWTFL, I really had to figure out how to space out what I eat. For me personally, as soon as I'm done with breakfast, I have to eat my first snack, and I usually eat at least one of my snacks with my lunch. And of course snacks in between breakfast and lunch and then between lunch and dinner. I try not to eat anything extra with my dinner or after, but I still had wine left after I ate on this day, so I went ahead and ate that truffle since I still had some room in my macros and couldn't start my fast quite yet. When I'm done with my last bite or sip, I immediately begin my fast.

Thanks for reading! Have a fabulous Thursday!!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
