What's Up Wednesday {February 2024}

 How in the world are already wrapping up February??? January is always so.dang.slow. and then the rest of the year just flies by!! I'm linking up with Shay and Sheaffer to give you all the details of my February!!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Monday: Philly Cheesesteak Bowls. These were really good!

Tuesday: White people taco night 😂. Ground turkey mixed with a packet of taco seasoning. Super simple, but always a favorite around here!

Wednesday: Hibachi night. Caleb is making his first meal on the Blackstone! We're doing rice, chicken, and lots of veggies. I want to find a recipe for pink sauce like they serve at the restaurants!

Thursday: Frozen pizzas. Again, super simple but always a fave.

Friday: I'm thinking Mexican!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

For one of my assignments this week, I had to put together a power point with pictures/details from my middle and high school years. Looking back at those pictures made me miss high school a little bit- only the fun parts though- ha!

This was from our Junior prom. Who are these babies??

Senior year Homecoming! This was our first Homecoming dance to actually go to. We were usually doing band related things at the football game.

Senior prom.

And here's me on color guard! This was from our show senior year- I think this picture was from the show where we won State Championships!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

My snake plant!

Some of the benefits you could see from having a snake plant in your house are....

Filters indoor air.

May remove toxic pollutants.

May improve mental health.

Can help with minor ailments.

Plus more, but these are the one's I'm hoping to see!

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Landry, cleaning, working, school...........

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

I have four quizzes and three assignments on the agenda, and I'm just not excited about that at all!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Read the above 😂. Spring Break is almost here!!!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

My family is coming in to town this weekend to celebrate my birthday! I'm not exactly sure what all we'll be doing, but I know it'll be fun!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

I did not mean to screenshot this when I was watching it, but I've been watching imomsohard on Youtube, and watching their podcast. I've gotten to where I prefer to watch a podcast if that option is available, rather than just listening! These two are hilarious!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

I'm not sure I need to even say this....but I'll give y'all a specific song I've had on repeat lately!

Such a good song!!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

SANDALS!

The weather has been sooo nice this week, so I've been pulling out the sandals!

These look to be a slightly updated version of mine from last year. The sole looks a little different. I love love love them!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Celebrating my birthday!! I will be 24 on Sunday!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

My birthday, spring break, springy things, warmer weather, all the March things! March may be my favorite month 😉.

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH

If you remember, my goal for the month of February was to not spend money on impulse purchases. So, I haven't gotten a single thing from Amazon this month!! But, I am who I am, and I do have a few things in my cart 😂. I'm thinking long and hard about those items though.

Have a great day!!

Friday Favorites {9.1.23}

  Happy Friday!! Happy SEPTEMBER!! And happy Labor Day weekend! Lots of HAPPY on this Friday morning!  As always, I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to bring you some faves from the week!  Well, I couldn't hold out any longer... Yesterday I put out the fall decor! (I'll have a full fall "home tour" up soon!) Isn't this just so cozy?? It may be 90 degrees outside, but inside my home you'd never know!  All the PUMPKIN coffees.  My favorite Starbucks order is a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Once it gets a lot cooler, I'll switch to a hot PSL.  My morning coffee though...  I added a little pumpkin spice to the top! This mug is just so happy! (I can't find my exact one, but it was $5 at Target! (This one is similar, and I might even like it a little better!) If you caught my What's Up Wednesday post earlier this week, then you probably know that this.... is my favorite night gown!! I've washed it several times, though I don't recommend putti

Friday Favorites {12.8.23}

  Happy Friday, friends!! Today I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea to bring you some favorites from my week!  If you missed yesterday's post, it was my ONE YEAR BLOGIVERSARY! One year ago, I set out to do something I've wanted to do for a very long time. I have loved this year of blogging! If you come here each week to read my blog, THANK YOU!! I appreciate your support more than you know!  I have loved the truffles from Aldi, so when I saw these chocolates I knew I had to try them. They are AMAZING. I've been eating a bit of some each night after dinner! If you see them, grab them!  I think I feel more like an adult when I have fresh flowers in the kitchen 😂. These red carnations are so cheerful!  A couple months ago, Caleb decided we needed an espresso machine...so on Black Friday he found one on a pretty good deal and went for it. We're considering it our Christmas to each other 😉. Friends, I mean it when I say if I never go back to Starbucks again, I would
