Hello Monday {4.15.24}

 

Happy Monday!! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah today! 

Today is a very special day, because.....

it's this boy's FIFTH birthday!!! I don't know where the time went. It seems like just yesterday I was waiting on the text from my mom to say that he had been born. Last night I started thinking about how he's now lived half of a decade, and that just seems wrong! Everyone should have a "Reid Man" in their lives....he's the sweetest little person, has such a fun personality, he has a heart of gold, and I don't know what we ever did without him. 

I mean seriously....where did this tiny baby go?? This was during quarantine, and as weird as that time was, I'm so glad we got to spend it with him and his mama.

It's been so much fun to see his little personality shine! Such a mood!

He's pretty much always willing to stop what he's doing to give a hug and a kiss and say I love you. And maybe snap a quick picture!

Happy fifth birthday, Reid! We love you more than you'll ever know!

    Hi! I read your blog and enjoy seeing your day! I have to ask because I have been curious when you post about Reid! Is this your sister’s son? Or do you have other siblings? Totally curious because he seems to be with your family often! Glad he has you 😀

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
