Making Life Beautiful

 Happy Tuesday! The last several years, I have been all about "romanticizing" my life and making everything special. Here are a few way I make life beautiful in little ways every day!

Use pretty bowls, plates, serving pieces, etc.

We got a few bowls on our honeymoon in Mexico, and I rarely ever use them. Yesterday I decided to eat my bagged salad out of it. Such a simple thing, but I loved eating from this bowl and remembering when we bought it! Plus, it's pretty!!

Here's a little peek into my serving piece cabinet! I got majority of these as wedding gifts! I could choose to serve out of original packaging, but doing serving out of pretty pieces just elevates things a little. It's no secret that I love to pull out the fine china for something as simple as a piece of Papa Johns pizza! I mean, why not?? Life is too short to not use those plates that cost quite a pretty penny. In addition to the pretty serving pieces....

Drinking glasses....

I love love love Estelle wine glasses for wine of course, but I also sometimes drink juice or something like La Croix out of them. Again, they cost a pretty penny, and I want to use them as often as possible!

McCarty Pottery.

This is a Mississippi thing....this pottery is made in the MS Delta, and I love it so much. Serving pieces, animals, vases, and so much more. I have it all over my house, and it just makes me happy! I was gifted my first two pieces by our neighbor friend when I was maybe 11 or so, and I have built up quite a collection since then. If you ever find yourself in the Delta, take a little trip to the studio in Merigold!

Gift wrapping...

Gift giving is my love language! I love to give a gift, and I love to make the gift as pretty as possible. I got this floral wrapping paper at Walmart for just a few dollars, the ribbon is reused from some of our wedding gifts, and my sister gave us the cute gift tags! I get to give this gift on Saturday, and I am so excited 😂.

Display nice cookware.

Notice my newest addition to my kitchen?? I have been wanting a Le Creuset dutch oven for quite some time, and I am so happy to have gotten one! And of course in pink 😉. There's no way this thing was going in a cabinet!! I also display my cute Kate Spade tea kettle! And my mixer...also of course pink!

Get dressed and put shoes on.

I may not do this every day....but, I do as much as possible. It just makes me feel better and more productive when I get dressed in something cute! However, I can also be quite productive in pjs and slippers- ha!

Nice laundry detergent.

My clothes, sheets, and blankets smelling really good makes them feel nicer! I've been using Laundry Sauce for several months now, and I love it so much. I use the Egyptian Rose, and it is heavenly!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times 😂. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST. On my drive home from work yesterday.... This was a fun little surprise. I don't remember this from last year! I hope you all have a great weekend and a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday! However, whatever, whenever, whereve...
