Charleston {Part One}

 Welcome to PART ONE of our Charleston Trip!! Y'all...I took SO many pictures. This little trip recap series is going to be a bit long...

Here is Part One, DAY one!

Up and at 'em early! 5:16 am is the time stamp on this pic. Not as early as I originally thought. We delayed an hour to miss the Birmingham morning commute!

Pretty sunrise on the way to grab breakfast! Our Chick-fil-a wasn't open quite yet, so we decided to stop at the one in the next town over.

Around 9:30, I decided I needed another coffee.

ATL! I thought about stopping to run in Nordstrom, but I decided not to delay us any more than necessary ๐Ÿ˜‚.

We had to make a stop in Augusta in the hopes that we would get a tiny peek at Augusta National. NOPE. They have that place locked down like it's nobody's business. Literally. Unless you are fortunate enough to be a member...or get tickets to The Masters. Neither of which are we. Boo.

Finally made it!! Our hotel room view was quite lovely.

I thought this church was so pretty!

I have a newfound love for a cobblestone street ๐Ÿ™‚.

Post dinner selfie! (I'm going to make a separate post specifically for the places we ate!)

We walked around after dinner and stumbled upon this park. It's called Waterfront Park.

When we got back to the hotel, we headed up to the rooftop to watch the sunset and have a drink.

And that's a wrap on day one! Thanks for reading!

Let's Look: January 2026

 Happy Wednesday!! Let's Look is one of my very favorite blog link ups and after not doing it last year, I am ready for it in 2026! I am linking up with Shay and Erika for this monthly series! Today, we are LOOKING at..... THINGS WE OUTSOURCE WITHOUT REGRET. Ok, there are so many things you can outsource that I just would rather do myself. I love to grocery shop. I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. BUT, there are occasions when outsourcing is just what needs to be done. Grocery Delivery/Pickup We don't do this often, but when we do it's pretty nice. That being said, I am usually ready to get back in the grocery store myself! Food Delivery This is another one we do not do often, but a Wednesday free delivery from Wingstop has sucked me in a few times ๐Ÿ˜‚. And of course, pizza delivery is always nice! Plus, we can get food delivered to the school I work out, so that's nice e...

Friday Favorites {4.2.26}

 Happy THURSDAY. My days are getting so mixed up with a Friday holiday haha! Posting Friday Faves a day early since tomorrow is Good Friday. Whoop whoop! We're getting a 7Brew!! I'm gonna let the new wear off before I go, but dang I am so excited for this! Have y'all tried it?? My sister gave me this MacKenzie Child's cookie jar for my bday and I love!! I made some white chocolate, peanut, and M&M clusters and they looked so cute in it! I will try just about anything once haha, but I finally jumped on the Tik Tok bandwagon and grabbed this facial brush for lymphatic drainage. My mind could very easily be playing tricks on me, but I'm gonna say I see a difference! Got mind from Amazon! And I cannot close out this post without mentioning Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month! Please, please, please educate yourself on what it means to have Autism, how to explain it to your children, how to advocate, how to include, how to help- all the things!! Please remember, if...

 And just like that.....it's CHRISTMAS BREAK! And my last post of 2025! But before all of that, let's get into some faves from my week! Linking up with Erika and Andrea. Some Christmas funnies for ya.... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ "Underground Spirit Week" We dress up or do something silly and the students have no idea, so it's constant confusion and laughter! So fun! Monday- PJ day. Tuesday-  Anything but a bag. Wednesday- Favorite Christmas song or movie character. Oh Christmas Tree, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, or as one student said...the Rockefeller Christmas Tree! Thursday- Christmas tree topper meets hat. This one did not last long in my hair...hahahah! Today is another PJ day for "Kinderland"! My name is Maddie, and I am obsessed with good smelling laundry.... These both smell AMAZING.
