Hello August!

Well hello August!! I'm actually typing this post up on Thursday morning instead of a day or so in advance. It's going to be a bunch of randomness for your August morning.

Well, first up. Gonna go try drink a cheap a** screw top rosé tonight and live for the hope of it all. IYKYK.....(The one I got from Sam's. I think it was like $10. If that.)

Here are two quotes I found while scrolling on Pinterest to get this month started off well. They are both from Our Mindful Life.

LOVE this.

And this, too! Both are such good reminders.

Ok, I have followed Amy Beth Campbell (amy.beth.campbell on IG) for a few years, and she has posted about this healthy baked oatmeal from Elisabeth & Butter for quite a while. It always intrigues me, and after she posted about it again yesterday....I had a dream about it. Y'all. I literally DREAMED about it- ha!! So,  I will definitely be getting the ingredients at the store next time.

Another bit of randomness...I have heard great things about this nail polish for several years. I think I am going to try their long lasting polish (they also have a fast dry system). Walmart and Target carry the brand, so I think I'll check there before I order! I have my eye on "Hot Strawberry" and some fun fall colors too!!

Something else I'll be checking out soon!! Blake Lively definitely has fabulous hair that I think a lot of people have dreamed of having at some point (myself included!!). Well, she's coming out with a hair system that she's been working on for I think 7 years. And the best part....everything is around or less than $25!! Here's an article all about it.

Ok, have a fabulous Thursday and a great start to your August!!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
