Hello Monday {8.26.24}

 Happy last Monday of August!! My pumpkins are definitely coming out next week! Today I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah to share about my weekend!

Friday after Caleb got off of work, we headed out to spend the weekend with our families! I didn't take any pictures Friday night, but I bet you can all guess what we had for dinner...Mexican!

Saturday morning, my FIL made a big breakfast for us and got us Starbucks! My first PSL of the season!!

After breakfast, I got ready and then headed to see my sister at the nutrition shop! I actually got just a beauty booster instead of a tea. It was good, but I did bring a tea mix home with me to drink this morning 😉.

Saturday evening, my mom and step dad took me and Caleb to a local steakhouse that was SO good!! I didn't get any pictures at the restaurant, but here's a pic from our drive home!

Then it was wine and a movie when we got back to the house! We watched Twisters- it was good but dang it was quite intense!

Sunday after church, I requested one of my very favorites- Beagle Bagel! I always get a tuna melt on a sourdough bagel with pasta salad. SO good!

My mom's dog Luna. She's a wild one 😂.

And then we were on the road again. My snack of choice was this chocolate bar. It was pretty good, but that diet Dr. Pepper was the best!

Back home, and I had a cup of tea while we watched The Office. This tea is so good and easy! All you do is cut lemons and oranges into slices, squeeze honey all over them, and add cinnamon and turmeric- I do a big batch for the week, and I don't measure anything. I like to let it all sit in the fridge for a while, but then boil your water and pour over the slices!

Have a great Monday!

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
