Hello Monday {8.5.24}

Happy Monday, friends!! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share a bit about my weekend!

Well. This happened Friday. Reid started KINDERGARTEN. None of us can believe it...we have no idea where the time went!!

Friday night, Caleb and I decided to play Clue. We were bored. Word to the wise....it's not a ton of fun with just two people.

Saturday morning, we watched Men's Golf, and I had two cups of coffee. It was a slow start to the day, and I loved it!

My Saturday OOTD. I got this dress from Old Navy, and I'm obsessed. They have some super cute things right now!

We ran a few errands and had lunch while we were out. This little area will be absolutely packed starting veeerrrryyyy soon!

Bulldog Burger for lunch! One of our faves!

I got the turkey burger, and I always get the truffle fries! You can add on queso to dip them in, and it's fabulous. Caleb got sloppy joe sliders and their sweet potato fries and caramel sauce. We also had fried pickles to start. It was all so good!

There was a little breeze, so sitting on the back porch wasn't completely miserable. I'm ready for cooler nights, so we can use our fire pit!

I got these at Walmart, because I've heard such good things about them. They're ok. I may like a different flavor better, though. They weren't bad, but they weren't great.

Wine and White Chicks. The perfect combo- ha! We watched Major Payne after that, which is one of Caleb's favorites.

I convinced Caleb that we needed milkshakes from Chick-fil-a 😂. I got peach and he got cookies and cream!

Finally got in bed at 10:23. Who are we????? I read for about a minute before I turned my lamp off and decided it was too late.

Sunday morning coffee and Olympics watching! I watched a little bit of Men's Gymnastics while I drank my coffee before getting back in the bed where Caleb was watching Men's Golf.

And then we watched Scottie get the gold!! He's our fave!

Something funny I came across on IG. Anyone else??

Then it was time for the grocery. Is it too early?? If it is then, oh well. Because I sure bought it!

I loooove Aldi's truffles! They have them for all different seasons- I'm hoping for some fall flavors soon! These are sooooo good!

We got this cute pool float for my MIL. I wanted it for myself, but she has a pool and I don't 😂. It was only $2.99, so I don't have high hopes for it. But it'll be cute in the water!

And here I am in my sweats. With a pumpkin spice iced coffee. I am clearly not sad to see summer going by so fast.

We had a little Father of the Bride marathon last night! One of my favorites!

Caleb made steak fried rice on the Blackstone- yum!

Wine for me while I sous-chef! (aka......bring the salt and pepper out and back in 😉)

Well, that was our weekend! I hope you all had a great one, and I hope you have a great Monday!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
