What's Up Wednesday {August 2024}

 Goodness, this year is going by SO FAST! Before we know it, we'll be putting that Christmas tree up again....

Ok, let's get into what our August looked like! I''m linking up with Sheaffer and Shay for What's Up Wednesday!

 1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

We ate at Beagle Bagel on Sunday and brought home some things to eat on this week. Once that's gone (which it almost is 😂), I have no clue what we'll be eating.

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Thanksgiving! I'm not sure what made me start reminiscing about this, but I am not getting so excited for all the food and family coming soon!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

Fall nail colors!! I've brought them out already, anyone else? When we were in Madison this past weekend, I saw lots of ladies already sporting their fall shades. This color is OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. I also have a post on favorite fall nail colors HERE.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

We just took a trip to Charleston! I've started recapping the trip, so you can read those posts here if you want!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

The next few weeks of hot temperatures while my pumpkins are out- because they are coming out no matter what 😉.

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

We are still working on our flower bed situation. We've gotten all of this cleared out though!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

All the holidays that are quickly approaching!! This is my very favorite time of year! I like summer, but I LOVE fall and winter.

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

We are rewatching The Office!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

And I'm back to listening to Office Ladies every day. My life is currently filled with The Office, and I LOVE it!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

This is that weird time of year when I'm wanting to bring out the fall clothes, but it's entirely too hot for that. So, I'm still wearing dresses some days, but I am at least trying to incorporate fall colors.

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

Hopefully nothing- ha!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH

I think I'm going to start skipping out on this one. Amazon has just been a DUD for me lately. I bought a dress that came to me smelling like cat pee and a super strong laundry detergent. I'm wondering if someone tried to cover the cat pee smell??? It was also extremely small, so I'm wondering if they dried it too??? Who knows.

    Your nails look great! I packed away my shorts yesterday to make room for more pants and long sleeves in my closet but I'm still hoping for our nice weather to last at least another month before I have to drag out "real" fall/winter clothes.

I think I would be weirded out by someone else doing my laundry. A house keeper is just not something we currently need or really want. Friday Favorites {6.6.25}

 Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Friday Favorites {12.20.24}

 Happy Friday, friends!! And Merry Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve- that's a thing, right??😂 I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from the week, and then I will be off for the holidays! My plan is to see y'all back here on January 13! For some food faves.... I grabbed the raspberry kringle at Aldi the other day after seeing so many positive reviews on it. It is really good!! I had some with a cup of coffee a couple times this week! Last night, Caleb made lasagna soup- YUM. Definitely a favorite of mine lately! A great way to end the night.... Caleb made me a cosmopolitan the other night. Yum! I am really going to miss this sight.... This is my favorite time of year for sure! Twinkly lights and candle light = the BEST.
