A Day in the Life

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday, I had lots of free time....this Thursday and Friday is fall break for MS State, and I don't have a busy schedule at all this whole week. I'll probably take today to complete all of my assignments.

So, I decided to document my day yesterday to share with you.

I started with a cup of coffee and looking through my school schedule for the week.

I lit some fall candles......

I made my favorite debloat, detox, extra hydrating water. I got the recipe from @annesnowlifestyle on IG. It's 1-2tbsp apple cider vinegar, a pinch of Himalayan salt, the juice of one lemon and one lime, ice and water. She calls it a natural Gatorade, and it's so good!

Time to unload the dishwasher.

And then I did my nails. I gave myself a pedicure and a manicure!

I did Malaga Wine on my toes and Suzi and the Arctic Fox on my fingers.

My lunch....so, not healthy. But very nostalgic- ha! I saw someone eating this on Tik Tok the other day, and I grabbed one at the store on Sunday.

I washed all of our bedding- mattress cover, sheets, duvet- everything! And then I made the bed. I always feel more productive when the bed is made!

While I was doing all of that.....

I watched What To Expect When You're Expecting. This is one of my favorites!

My snack of choice. I think I was just bored 😂.

Caleb had a work meeting and ate there, so I was on my own for dinner. I guess I was too hungry to grab a picture- ha!

After I ate, I worked on my blog a little and got started on posts for the rest of the week. Anyone else like just sitting on the floor sometimes?? Also, I forgot how much I like this Waterloo flavor!

After that, I was ready for bed! If you want to see my other DITL posts, you can find them here!

Have a great Tuesday!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
