Life Lately.

Happy Thursday! It's been a long time since I have shared a "Life Lately" post, yet they are always my favorite!

Caleb and I just celebrated TEN years since we started dating. It's crazy how quickly time flies. The older I get, the more I understand the quote "The days are long but the years are short." So. Dang. TRUE.

Well, I bought a Christmas pillow this past weekend. Never too early, right??

I also bought these cute boxes. Bring on all the holiday fun!!!

But, since it's fall...I made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies (from Jessie James Decker's Just Feed Me cookbook!). These are more cakey and almost taste like a little muffin top.

Last night, I made this Cashew Chicken that was DELISH. I got the recipe from Calley Brady on Tik Tok, but this is the recipe she used. I did not put in water chestnuts. Next time, I'll definitely do low sodium broth and soy sauce. I am not very confident when it comes to cooking chicken, so I am dang proud of this- ha!

We finished watching The Office, and we don't know what we want to watch next. So, last night we watched Vacation. It's hilarious, but it has some pretty intense, graphic scenes.

I know this is probably getting very old, but this is just the music I have been listening to lately! Sabrina's new album is SO good. Yesterday, I shared my Fall Playlist if you want to check that out.

Slow mornings have been my new normal lately, and I am LOVING it. I'm very grateful that, at least for this season of life, I am able to do this. I feel most productive in the afternoon, so it's nice to have a slow morning and stay in my pjs a little bit longer! Whether I'm doing my school or not, it's still nice to be comfy!

A couple weekends ago, we spent the day in Birmingham with my sister and her boyfriend. Always so fun!

Have a great Thursday!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
