Hello Monday {12.2.24}

 Happy Monday, Happy December, and Happy Birthday to my sister- lots of happy today! I had a great little break, but I am glad to be back to blogging today! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah for Hello Monday.

Here's a bit of a post Thanksgiving, trying to get back into our routine, Sunday in our life!

I started this advent devotional while I had a cup of coffee.

We went to church and then had Mexican afterwards. YUM. It's been way too long since we had this!

I have been getting two of these little tacos lately and they are SO good.

Next was grocery shopping. We went to Aldi and then had to go in Kroger for a couple of things Aldi didn't have.

I did some school work, we cleaned a little, and I worked on unpacking from the week. Then, we watched The Wizard of Oz. This is the first time I have watched the movie that I can remember! I am dying to see Wicked, so this held me off a bit until I can see it!

We had grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner. And since we are super old, we got in bed early and played Bananagrams 😂.

Goodness I love this nightly view!! I feel the need to note that I DO have gifts under the tree! A few pictures above, they were moved while the vacuum was running 😉.

And that was our Sunday!! Have a great Monday!

Let's Look: March 2024

  I'm back!! Happy Wednesday!! It's the second Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for LET'S LOOK with Shay and Erika!! In January, we "looked" at How We Clean Our Closets. In February, we "looked" at Little Things We Do Every Single Day. Today, we are "looking" at..... OUR GROCERY CARTS!!  Since I was in Nashville over the weekend, I had to run in Trader Joe's! So, I went ahead and did my grocery shopping for the week while I was there. Plus some other goodies too!  When I went to the TJ's in Huntsville, I said it was my favorite. BUT, I have found a new favorite. There are two locations in Nashville, and I've now been to both. The one on White Bridge Pike is FABULOUS! They had every single thing on my list, and then some. I've been to the other location over by Green Hills Mall, but I didn't look around much, so I can't really attest to how that one is.  I snapped this picture of my grocery cart! This i...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
