1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Last night, I made chicken fajitas. On the menu for the rest of the week is red beans and rice and lasagna soup!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Vegas! We went to Las Vegas on our Christmas vacation three years ago- we also spent some time in St. George, Utah.










It was so fun, and I'm really wishing we were going back soon!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

All the Christmas things. Soaking up all the moments and memories of this season!

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Buying gifts, wrapping gifts, talking about buying and wrapping gifts. Ha!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

January. It's my least favorite month. I'm trying to be positive about it, but it just isn't really working....

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Right now, I am starting on dinner! 

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

CHRISTMAS. I cannot wait to give all of our gifts and spend lots of time with all of our people!

Yesterday, I watched Holiday Engagement and It Ends With Us. Both on Netflix!

I have tried to read a couple of things, but I just cannot get into a reading mood. Ugh.

We are headed to do our Christmases with Caleb's grandparents!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

We are going to Dallas, so I am excited to do all the shopping!!

13: FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH

I actually got these on a Black Friday deal, but they arrived to me in December! I am LOVING them!! They are super comfy! I have been wanting some flared leggings, but I didn't want to spend a ton on them. So these are perfect!

 Happy Friday, friends!! Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
