Life Lately.

Happy Tuesday! Today I thought I would share all about what were up to over the holiday break.

Christmas Eve Service is always my very favorite night of the year, and this year was no exception.

This Christmas season I did something I have never ever done. Something I never ever thought I would do. But this was my kitchen table on December 27 at 7:45 p.m. I don't know what was up with me, but I was just ready to have all put away. The past few years I have always taken everything down after Epiphany.

We had a sushi date and finally found a few rolls that we really like at our local place.

Since Christmas was all put away, I pulled out the Valentine's decor!

We took a long weekend trip to Dallas with Caleb's family. We went on a tour of AT&T Stadium which was really cool- except I just kept imagining what the place looked like during The Eras Tour 😉.

I walked around Nordstrom for quite a while, but I really wanted to be in that spa- ha! I'll post a full trip recap soon.

As soon as we got back home, we headed straight to our favorite Mexican restaurant.

We had a super cold week last week, so we were in a soup mood!

I made a BLT chicken salad and ate it for lunch with crackers and lettuce.

I got a new windshield- woohoo! It's the little things.....

My breakfasts have looked a little like this lately.

I found a new favorite candle from Kroger!

I thought I was going to do Dry January. But I failed. Oops!

My Valentine's decor is making me so happy! I definitely don't go out for other holidays like I do for Christmas, but subtle touches like this are so fun! I'll post a full Valentine's home tour soon.

Well, that's what's been going on with us lately! Have a great day!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
