What's Up Wednesday {January 2025}

Today is the first What's Up Wednesday of 2025! Ok, FINALLY. We are almost to the end of January, y'all! I'm here to link up with Sheaffer and Shay to share about this extremely long month!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Frozen pizza, sausage pasta, red beans and rice, probably Chick-fil-a at some point....

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

SUMMER. Gosh, I'm so excited for summer! I've said it a million times, I am not a beach person...But goodness I love this view and I LOVED that trip!!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

This nail color. I am usually not one to repeat nail colors back to back, but I think this is my new staple! It goes with everything, and I think it looks good with every skin tone! It's very similar to Essie's Ballet Slippers (I throw that one in the mix sometimes!), but it's a bit more pink.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

We spent our first full weekend at home together since Thanksgiving this past weekend! It was so nice. We really didn't do much, but it was nice to not have anything to do!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

Ummmm, the rest of winter 😂

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Schoolwork. All the schoolwork!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

My weekend plans! See number 11 😉

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

Desperate Housewives! Yes, again. If you have never watched it, please do yourself a favor and watch it!!

This is about where I am in the series!

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Aaaalllll the Kelsea!!

This is one of my favorites!

Also, this is one I somehow forgot about. It's SO good!

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

Lots of pink lately! I'm getting excited for Valentine's Day! And.....

My new glasses! I got them last week, and I have finally adjusted to the ridiculously strong prescription😂

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

I am headed to Nashville! My sister and I are going to see Kelsea Ballerini! We are SO excited! Plus, I'm sure we will do a little shopping 😉

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Valentine's Day! I have no idea what our plans are, but I'm ready!

13: FAVORITE PURCHASE THIS MONTH

Ok, a while back I said that I might stop including the "favorite Amazon purchase this month" prompt, but now I think I am going to include my favorite purchase- no matter where it's from- for the month!

So, my favorite purchase this month is.....

This dress! This is going to be my Easter dress. Unless I forget about it and buy something else. Because I have been known to do that. 😉 I also really love the shoes!

I hope your January was as good as it could have been- ha! Have a GREAT day!!

    1. Oh I love that beach photo! I am not a winter person either and really miss the sunshine and warm weather. Your dress is fabulous. I hope you and your sister have a great time in Nashville. I've been looking for an old show to rewatch; I'm going to have to try rewatching Desperate Housewives.

    1. Years of practice! I've been doing my nails myself for about 12 years. Some manicures are definitely better than others! I paint thin layers and have to make myself be still to let them dry- ha!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
