Winter Self Care

Happy Wednesday!! Ok, if you're like me and get a touch of the winter blues around this time of year you might resonate with today's post! I'm sharing all the self care things I like to do to keep myself sane.

1. Keep your spaces clean but cozy.

Having a clean space makes my mind feel clean too. Light some candles, pull our your fuzzy blankets, curl up with a book, turn on the lamps, whatever you do that makes things feel cozy!

2. Drink water.

Make sure you are keeping up with your water intake! When it's cold, sometimes we feel like we don't need to drink as much water, but we do! As I'm typing this, I actually need to get up and get more water!

3. Don't forget the skincare.

Our skin is likely more dry right now, and I love using a thick moisturizer to help. Also using masks, oils, rose water spray, etc. will make your skin extra happy! Plus, it's just fun.

4. Make your favorite meals and drink your favorite drinks.

When Caleb or I make something for dinner that I am especially excited about, I'm just a touch more filled with joy! Same goes for a good glass of wine, a diet Coke, a fun cocktail, etc.

5. Get a new planner.

It's not too late to get yourself a new planner! We will see if I keep up with it this year, but having it has made me more excited for the things to come, especially the things happening in the winter!

Ok, hopefully incorporating some of these things into your routine will help fight those winter blues! Have a great Wednesday!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...
