Things I LOVE Doing

 Happy Tuesday, friends!! I wanted to do a fun little post today, so here are all the things I LOVE to do that maybe some people do not like doing.

Painting my nails.

I feel like when I tell people that I do my own nails, they always say something like "oh I don't know how you do that", "I could never", etc. But I really love doing them myself! It's one of my very favorite forms of self care!! I like to turn on a show while I do them and just relax.

Wiping down the counter tops.

I do this approximately 3000 times a day. Anyone else? I don't have a ton of kitchen counter space, but I love for it to be completely clean. I don't want to accidentally touch anything sticky. I also love getting fun new scented counter sprays! I love Mrs. Meyers, Method, and Safely- I can find them all at Kroger.

Cooking.

I may not do it very often (ha!), but I actually love to cook. Like, I love the experience of it. Especially when I am trying new recipes! I like to pour a glass of wine, play music or watch a show, light a candle.....it's just fun to me!

Running errands.

I love an errand day!! Whether I am going to grocery store, prepping for a trip, or just need to restock some things (like skincare, makeup, etc.), I am always up for running errands! I feel like some people do not enjoy this, but I really really do!

Shopping in a mall.

Since literally every thing can be bought online, I feel like a lot of people would rather do that than go in a store. Not me! The closest mall to us is in Tupelo, and although it isn't very big, I love going in there- especially Belk. Never thought I'd say that -ha! Belk and Dillards truly have had the cutest clothes lately. I think a part of me might die if malls ever completely phase out (maybe that's dramatic?? ha!). Anyone up for a mall trip with me??

Ok, what are some things you LOVE doing that you think other people don't love?? Have a happy TUESDAY!!

  1. I love thrift shopping! It has really become popular the last couple of years but I have loved it forever. I’m really loving all the “what I bought while thrift and how I styled it” videos on social media❤️

    1. I love those videos too! I wish I had more thrift stores around me. My grandmother has always loved shopping at a thrift store!

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
