Monthly Musings: March 2025

Happy Thursday!! It's that time again- I am linking up with Holly and Patty for Monthly Musings! Always so fun! Today we are talking all things spring fashion.....

1. Favorite spring outfit?

Either a long dress, sometimes short if it's warm enough!- or jeans and a cute top- always always always my go to!

2. Favorite spring fashion staples? A great pair of sneakers or sandals!

3. Favorite colors to wear in spring? All the pinks, greens, blues, purples- really anything floral that has lots of color!

I bet I wore this particular dress 2 times a week every. single. week. last spring and summer!! Plus I love fun and colorful jewels...Gresham is my go to!

4. Do you change up your handbag for a new season? Oh yes! I switch out my purse several times a week- ha! I go from darker colors in fall/winter to lighter colors in spring/summer.

5. Favorite spring scents?

Anything light and airy or floral! Right now I am using Jo Malone English Pear and Sweet Pea.

6. Favorite store/sites for spring items? Nordstrom, Old Navy, Mimi Seabrook!

7. Do you thrift? Favorite thrift/consignment sites/shops? No....I wish we had a good thrift store around here!

8. Styles you aren't feeling this spring? I don't know if this trend will continue into spring, but barrel jeans!

I'm just not so sure I can get on board with this...

9. Any dress up events this spring? A wedding and Easter Sunday, but nothing super fancy.

10. Complete wardrobe overhaul or just a few pieces this year? Just a few pieces! I need nothing else- ha!!

Have a happy Thursday!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
