Things I Love About SPRING

Happy Tuesday!! Since spring is nearly here (well the official start, in my head it's already here😂), I thought I would share all things I love about this season!

1. The FLOWERS.

I am truly in love with fresh flowers!! I love seeing them in people's yards, I love having vases of them throughout the house, I love the smell, the colors, EVERYTHING about them! They are just pretty and happy!

2. The FASHION.

I love a good springy dress, top, skirt, shorts, shoes, etc. The fashion this time of year seems so effortless, easy, breezy, and fun.

3. The WARMER WEATHER.

It's still somewhat cool, but there's also some warmth and for that I am so thankful! Once it gets hot here, it's HOT. So, this bit of time where it's just warm is so very nice.

4. The RAIN.

A spring rainstorm is one of my very favorite things in the entire world. I like to light a candle, turn on the lamps, and just get COZY.

5. My MOOD.

I get suuuuuper irritated with cold weather. Once it warms up, my mood improves quite a bit. There's too much static in the winter, I get tired of wearing sweaters everyday...I want to sit on the back porch and be warm. I wouldn't say I have seasonal depression by any means, but my mood does improve with the changing seasons!

6. The MASTERS.

I got really into The Masters last year, and I am so excited for it this year. We weren't able to get tickets- BOOO. BUT, I want to order the food box to snack on while we watch this year and maybe feel like we're there!

7. The SCENTS.

Fresh, floral, clean, bright, salty........all my FAVORITES!!!

8. The FOOD.

Don't get me wrong, I love a winter soup. But, a cold pasta salad, a pimento cheese sandwich, aaaalllll the fruit, and so much more.....I love!

Have a happy and springy Tuesday!

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
