Updated Makeup Routine

Happy Thursday! I am here today to share my latest makeup routine!

I went to Ulta one day, and when I got my receipt, I saw that I had almost $200 in points that were expiring soon. Sooooo, I decided this was a good time to try some new products!

I've heard really good things about r.e.m. beauty, so that's what I went with! It's clean, cruelty free, and has skincare benefits. So, here's my current makeup routine....

1. Ok, first things first....SUNSCREEN. Such an important step! I am loving this one from Innisfree. I mostly love that it does not burn my eyes!!

2. I don't use it every time I do my makeup, but I really like this primer. I also wear it alone some days- just primer, no makeup after. It gives a blurring effect.

3. I've been doing concealer before foundation lately, and I really like that. This concealer is so good!

4. Sweetener foundation....I feel like this shade is a bit too light for me, but I think adding some bronzer might help. I really like it though! I've been wearing a full face almost every day- no breakouts and haven't noticed my pores being clogged!

5. Still using the Rare Beauty blush in 'Happy' and love it! I think I will have this exact one for the rest of my life! It's so pigmented and a little goes a LONG way!! I use a beauty blender for this.

6. My favorite r.e.m. product so far is the glossy balm! SO good! I have the shade 'skinny dripped'- definitely want more colors! It's plumping without making your lips tingle or burn.

7. Ok, I'm not sold on these eyeshadow colors quite yet. They're a bit too bronzy for me I think. I mostly use the lightest color all over my lid and then lightly tap the darkest shade into the outer corner of my eye and blend into the crease. I have the palette in 'babydoll'.

8. Still use and love the Covergirl Clean Fresh Brow filler.

9. New mascara is on my list...what should I get?? I like this Lash Blast Cleantopia from Covergirl, but I rarely buy the same mascara twice.

I didn't include these in the picture, but I also got the r.e.m. beauty foundation brush and concealer brush, and the lash and brow serum. Loving all of those too! Also still use a beauty blender to smooth out everything, especially concealer.

I wouldn't say I'm good at makeup or really know what I'm doing haha! But, I do enjoy doing it! Have a great day!!

Happy Friday, friends!! How was your week? One of my summer classes started this week, so I have been getting back into a bit of a routine which is nice! As always, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from the week.  How cute is our new wreath sash?? My mom got it for us, and I am obsessed! Lots of food faves this week.... Another salsa I am now obsessed with! I found this at Aldi, and y'all it is SO good! I used it in a recipe, but I am definitely going to get another jar to eat for a snack or with lunch or dinner! Now for a Tik Tok "recipe". I used quotations, because it's really just a chop/open a can and throw together situation. Corn, black beans, pinto beans, onion, tomato, cilantro. I ate it with tortilla chips for lunch this week. It was so good! Next time, I would add more tomato and use less onion (maybe even no onion at all), and I should have chopped up the cilantro a little better! I also squeezed in some lime juice and added salt a...

Happy last Friday of August! As always, I am here to link up with Erika and Andrea to share some faves from my week.  To be honest, it feels out of touch to make this post. After the devastating news of yet another school shooting, my heart is so heavy. Innocent lives taken and still no changes from people in power. I honestly do not know how anyone can see news like this and not be enraged and demanding for change. I do not get political on here, because that is not what I want for this space. However, I feel the need to share my thoughts about this. America needs gun control. ALL Americans need access to healthcare, especially when it comes to mental health. America needs change. Remember these things when you vote. Think about your babies, their friends, their teachers. Stay aware, stay educated. But also please make sure you spend time doing things that bring you joy (it's good for your mental health!). That is at least what I am going to do. With that being said, here ar...
