What's Up Wednesday {April 2025}

Happy Wednesday! As always for the last Wednesday of the month, I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share all about my month!

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

Andrea's pulled pork (minus the onion) with sweet potato fries and pasta salad

Red beans and rice (Zatarain's)

Chicken and cheese quesadillas

I'm sure there will be Mexican or Chick-fil-a in there somewhere 😉

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

New York. Gah I want to go back so bad! I'm trying to convince Caleb we need a trip, but he doesn't think he'll like it. Probably because he's already aware of the shopping I would want to do 😂.

Here are some pics from the trip I took with Mimi for a mission trip....

So fun!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

This is my last week of spring semester! YAY for that! Next week is all tests, but I am so loving my super light work load this week- just lots of studying!

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Caleb just took a fishing trip with his work people. I feel like all I have been doing lately is school work- ha.

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

I can't say I'm dreading anything right now.

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Laundry. Why do we let it pile up so much??😂

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

SUMMER. My mom, Libbey, Mimi, and I are planning a trip to Charleston for sometime this summer, and I am so excited!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

Still reading my April book. I just cannot get into it. Spoiler....it's kinda boring.

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Oh just my usual. Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Kelsea Ballerini, Gracie Abrams, and I recently added in Ariana Grande. I am loving her deluxe edition to her latest album- twilight zone and warm are my faves! And then there's this....

I mean...on. repeat. SO good.

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

These shorts.

This dress.

These shoes.

That's about it. Ha!

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

My sister is having an open house at her nutrition club on Saturday (stop by if you're local!) and Sunday is my brother's Senior Sunday recognition at church!

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

The. Beach. At least I think we're still planning on going! My mom's friend lives in Florida, and we try to visit as much as possible!

13: FAVORITE PURCHASE THIS MONTH

I changed this from favorite Amazon purchase recently, because I wasn't doing any Amazon shopping. Well, my favorite purchase of the month today just happens to be Amazon- ha!

I am OBSESSED with these shoes that I mentioned above. They are a dupe for an almost $400 pair of shoes! (If you want the real deal, here they are!) I am all for quality over quantity a lot of the time, I just don't know that I will wear them a whole lot after this year, so I went the dupe route!

I hope you all had a fabulous April and have an even better MAY! See y'all Friday!

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...
