What's Up Wednesday {May 2025}

Happy Wednesday!! It's the last Wednesday of the month, so y'all know what that means! I'm linking up with Sheaffer and Shay to share all about my MAY.

1: WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK

So far we've had breakfast for dinner and red beans and rice. I'm out of town now, so I'm not sure what's on the menu for me. BUT, our fave Mexican restaurant in Madison just opened a second location, so I have a feeling I'll be there at some point this week!

2: WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT

Last summer! And it's getting me excited for this summer!

3: WHAT I'M LOVING

I've mentioned it a time or two on here, but in case you missed it- my sister opened up an Herbalife nutrition club last summer. So, I thought I would talk about a couple of my favorite products I buy from her!

First, my absolute favorite thing- a tea! I usually always go with a specialty or a beauty. A specialty has protein and collagen and a beauty has collagen too. I also love the new protein parfaits- Oreo is my fave! (Plus, I always have to have a cute tea sleeve!)

Next up, I take these two supplements pretty regularly. Now, I'm not offering any sort of medical advice, and I think it's always wise to consult your doctor and ask any questions you may have before taking anything. But, here's what I take....

I usually take this in the morning, and it just kind of takes the edge off a bit.

And for night time. OMG....I get the best sleep when I take this! I swear it literally turns my brain off.

And last but not least, this lotion literally has magic in it- or maybe it's the aloe 😂. I'm taking it with me to the beach this weekend, because it helps a sunburn SO MUCH.

4: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

Since I didn't share Hello Monday this week, here's a look at some of what we did this past weekend....

Lots of back porch snacking before dinner for me! I love this time of year! Sometimes I'll have a cocktail or glass of wine too.

More back porch snacking and reading.

Mexican for dinner, because DUH.

And churros for dessert, because, again, DUH. Ha!

I've also been making iced coffee more lately...this one is an iced oatmilk honey "latte". I just put a little honey in (maybe a tablespoon or so), froth some oatmilk and pour over the coffee, add ice, done and easy! And so good!

5: WHAT I'M DREADING

Sleeping on a bed that isn't mine for several nights 😂. Y'all, have I mentioned how much I love my bed?? We got a Tempur-pedic last year and have not regretted it one single time. It's fabulous!

6: WHAT I'M WORKING ON

Packing!

7: WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

The beach- but mostly getting to see our friends who live there!

8: WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

I'm doing a Reba rewatch right now. And Caleb and I are watching Modern Family together- he hasn't seen all of it yet.

I'm reading The Retirement Plan by Sue Hincenbergs- so far, so good! I'm hoping to finish it this weekend.

9: WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Right now, I'm listening to the Short n' Sweet album. I tried to get tickets to the tour, but dang they went fast! Anyone going that I can live vicariously through???

10: WHAT I'M WEARING

I'm trying to pull out all of my dresses and not wear athleisure- especially when I'm out and about.

11: WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

As I mentioned above....headed to the beach for a quick weekend getaway.

12: WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Charleston!! I. Cannot. Wait.!!

13: FAVORITE PURCHASE THIS MONTH

Ummmm. The giant candle. Hands down! It smells SO good. I got it from Costco and the scent is fresh linen.

Have a happy Wednesday!!

  1. Yay for time spent at the beach! Your sundresses are so cute. It's been such a cold rainy month here that I haven't been able to wear any of my cute summery pieces yet.

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
