Hello Monday {8.4.25}

 Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am linking up with Holly and Sarah today to share all about mine.

We kicked off the weekend at Anthony's in West Point for Caleb's birthday dinner. We decided to wait until Friday night since they were closed on his actual birthday. Everything was delicious!! Fried pickles, blackened salmon with spicy crawfish sauce, cheese grits, steak with crabmeat topping, garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and bread pudding for dessert. YUM!!

I met my mom for lunch on Saturday. A teacher at her school made me this adorable lanyard and she brought it to me! I should have taken pics- we of course met at a Mexican restaurant!

This is what my Saturday afternoon looked like. YUCK. Buuuuut, I am DONE with summer classes🎉🎉🎉

Saturday night we went to a wedding for a friend of Caleb's from college. I could not get over all of the cute favors and gorgeous flowers!!

Sunday was grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, and prepping for the week. Then, we had Mexican for dinner....I can literally eat it any time, any day, no matter when I had it last 😂.

Have a happy Monday!!

Friday Favorites {10.18.24}

 Happy Friday!! I hope you all had a great week! I'm linking up with Erika and Andrea today to share some faves from my week. Well guess what is back tonight?? NEW Hallmark Christmas movies!! Ummm YAY!! I'm most excited about Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Angela from The Office is starring in that one!) and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story! For some foodie faves... This right here. It made my week. I'm obsessed with the tuna from Beagle Bagel. It's amazing. I can never say it enough! I made egg drop soup for the lunch the other day, and it was really good! It's always been my favorite soup from Chinese buffets. I didn't feel great and wanted a soup...luckily I had all the ingredients. I used this recipe here. The weather this week was absolute perfection.  I mean, it was really, really cool. And it was fabulous. So, that means.... I broke out a sweater and my Sorel booties that I love so much! I always forget how good the Bible app is. I opened it up...

Let's Look: September 2024

 Hey, friends! I hope you are having a great week so far! Today is the September edition of Let's Look. But before I get into that, I want to talk a bit about today, September 11. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the attacks on 9/11. I was only one year old when this happened, so I obviously do not remember where I was or what I was doing or anything from this day. All I know is because of the people who continue to honor to victims and the heroes of this day. I have had the honor of visiting the memorial and museum in NYC twice now, and both times I have been were such an incredible experience. Visiting there is heavy. It is sad. It's informative. It's also beautiful to see how our country came together in such an awful time. I love this picture that I took on my last visit. The leaves in the picture are from a tree that survived everything from that day 23 years ago. It was transported to a greenhouse for a while, but it was eventually moved back, and I loved that I could...
