Happy Thursday, friends! I am linking up with Holly and Patty today for Monthly Musings!
Today we are talking all things Thanksgiving/Holiday Prep!
1. Favorite Thanksgiving dishes?
My favorite dish has always been my Mimi's green bean casserole! YUM. I also love dressing!
2. Stuffing or dressing? Please share a recipe.
Dressing! I feel the need to share that stuffing goes inside the turkey, dressing is made separately 😉. I do not have a recipe, and fun fact....I used to think that only really special people were able to make dressing. Sooooo, there's that.
3. Are you hosting any of the holidays this year? Please share your tips.
We are actually hosting my family for Thanksgiving, and so far the only tip I can give is to curate a great wine list and buy some flowers 🙂.
4. Turkey trot or football game?
Neither, give me the Macy's Parade please!
5. If you decorate for Christmas, do you decorate before or after Thanksgiving?
If you read here regularly, you may remember this from a couple weeks ago....
The turkey tastes just as good with the tree up...
6. Are you holidays sit down meals or more casual affairs?
Very casual! As much as I would love a formal sit down dinner, we just aren't those people.
7. Pumpkin or apple pie? Another dessert?
Hmm, neither...banana pudding is always a go to in my fam!
8. Are you traveling for Thanksgiving or staying closer to home?
Home!
9. Do you Black Friday shop?
I wish!! I mean, maybe some online deals, but that's about it.
Now, if Black Friday was still like this, I might 😂.
10. Thing you are most looking forward to this holiday season?
We are going on trips with both of our families, one before Christmas and one after, and I am really excited for both! I honestly just love to travel. Stick me in a car or on a plane, and I am good!
I hope you all have a fantastic holiday season with those you love!

Oh your travel plans sound fun! My youngest was just saying that he wished we were headed to Hawaii for Christmas again this year as traveling was so much fun last year. We just could not get my husband to agree to skip it 2 years in a row. Weirdly we set a fancy sit down table but we all dress very casually and treat it as a casual meal! I even keep the food in the kitchen and we grab our food buffet style so I don't bother with serving dishes anymore.
ReplyDeleteHawaii at Christmas sounds amazing, but I do see not wanting to skip traditions at home a second year. Your dinner sounds perfect!
DeleteHow fun to have two trips planned! Good luck hosting Thanksgiving this year!
